I guess people love letting big corporations control their whole game library and when where and for how long they can play the games. They might not yet realize that eventually support will dry up online for these and if they need to get the games back due to a console and/or HDD failure they will be SOL.
You buy the low res xbone versions because that is where your friends play? So you only buy and play online games? You are missing out on a lot of good games then.
If you buy all multis on X1 and don't like any PS4 excusives then why bother with a PS4 at all now? sounds dodgy to me.
But the PS4 version has missing shadows. So I guess both have odd flaws.
That is pretty bad, it is like they forgot to add them in. Something like this is not common so not sure what went wrong.

That is the main problem with DriveFlub. It was delayed a year and is STILL unfinished. Where is that weather? I know, a freaking PATCH! Why because the game is still unfinished. When I buy a game disc I guess it is too much to ask to have the whole game on there? Patches suck because they expire and you can't back them up. You must rely on the publisher always having them online. Eventually they will be gone and if you want to replay a few years down the road you will be stuck w...
That is part of the problem. Weather patch? Why isn't it on the disc? Download only? The game is UNFINISHED that is why. They should have waited until it was complete before releasing it.

Many like me aren't double dipping for GTAV. I passed on it because when that was released the hype for the new systems was in full swing. I wasn't going to buy a last gen game at that time. When I get GTAV it will be the first time I play it. I am sure I am not alone.

I don't have the time to play all of the games on my PS4. Yes most of the ones will be multiplat but so what? Does a game need to be exclusive to be good? Is Dragon Age or GTAV suddenly worse because they are also on the xbone?
Many times what is exclusive in PS4 multiplats is that the graphics are better. Both have plenty of games so not sure where the "no games" keeps coming from.

Sorry, but there was no required day-1 patch for PS4 removing any DRM. My friend bought a PS4 and doesn't have internet and was able to play all launch titles offline out of box.
The Xbone required a day 1 patch to remove the DRM, that is it.

If your blu ray drive fails get it replaced? It would be kind of dumb to keep a console with a busted drive. When it is fixed guess what you can play anything without having to wait hours to re-download everything.
Too bad the SP is so short. 8 hours is nothing, you could beat it in a couple of sittings. I would buy this if the SP was a decent length but as I don't care for MP this is a rental at best.
I wish they would start putting some meat on the bones of SP modes again.
I usually buy COD and play the SP too but this time I will pass. The campaign mode is just too short on these games to the point of being a ripoff. They must put most of their resources in MP. It may be good for a rental though.
Try it before patch, it is awful. After patch it is much better. Why couldn't they have put the finished version on the disc?
I forgot to add the issue with those annoying black bars put there to cut down resolution. The excuse is that it is "cinematic" but that is a lame excuse, we are already playing on widescreen TVs that in the standard format are cinematic aspect ratios to begin with!
On PC you can disable the bars now, but on console yo...
The whole problem is this game was rushed out unfinished (I know that sounds odd for a game delayed a year, but it should have been delayed longer).
No weather, other missing features and yes the broken online. If you buy a game on disc, it should be the FULL version, weather and all. Wouldn't it be better to wait a few months longer and have the full and complete working version?

The graphics were a disappointment. The game shipped unplayable on PS4 at least. It was a stuttery mess and the resolution was terribly blurry. The patch helped with the stutter and rez but for those with no internet the game looks like crap, don't bother.
Nonsense. DriveFlub is a fail not because it is 1080p but because they have server issues. Xbots try to blame everything on graphics and resolution because xbone has so much trouble with many games getting to 1080p. "See we have low res games but that helps them have better gameplay". It is called rationalization, it just makes your brain feel better by having an excuse for not having the better looking versions.

32mb IS pretty small. The article also talks about how the GPU in the xbone is much smaller and how the low amount of ROPs and compute units etc. will hurt it.
The CPUs in both are similar and pretty weak honestly. The CPU bottlenecks will plague both systems. What gives the PS4 the advantage is the extra GPU grunt.
The PS4 depends on GPGPU? I doubt many games are using it yet as most are ports, and even those tend to run at higher...
Read the article. It mentions that due to the better speed of the GDDR5 in the PS4 it makes up for that bottleneck.
Too bad this is MP only. Some new campaign missions would have been nice.
