I'm hoping it's kind of like an arena shooter like the gold old days of Quake and UT. There's a severe lack of them on consoles this generation. Everyone tells me to try overwatch but that some hero shooter that looks like it plays quite a lot different. It's more in line with Team Fort 2 than Quake and UT.

It's not solely the issue. GAME here in the UK is in the same mess as GS and that's down to nothing more than greed. They ain't competitive with pricing at all when you can go to your local supermarket or online games retailer and buy it a a cheaper price than what GAME will sell it but quite a bit.

They admit most of their sales come from pre-owned so why compete with other retailers on the new games so people will buy them there? Yes they may lose £5-...

I hope it does to. I love the story and lore behind fallout and ES but I can't enjoy the games with how janky the gameplay is. That is the most important thing after all.

Get a new engine that don't feel like it's 20 years old.
Make characters look somewhat life-like. Some of the ones even in FO4 look abysmal.
Use motion capture instead of these PS2 era animations you use.
Use decent voice actors, not these robotic lifeless actors you've used since the awful FO3.
Get developers who can program without messing up basic features in games.
Get rid of the clunky controls and horrible inventory menus.

Nothing about this says welcome to next generation. God of War (and no doubt TLOU2 will when it lands) set the bar so high with what the PS4 is capable of that early next gen games will be on par with slightly better details.

There were some games at the start of this generation that looked worse than the Original TLOU on PS3. Sometimes it takes a while for third party studios to push the boat out where as Sony's first party studios always seem to push things further t...

This deserves to be on everyone's radars. It looks massively more ambitious than a lot of titles getting hyped up this year.

I'm surprised it's taken them this long to sit back and realise this. Ubisofts biggest success story this generation has been Rainbow 6 Siege, a game that don't follow the tired ubisoft formula whatsoever.

Disco is is very much alive. Listen to a few sets from Skream, find tracklists and you'll find plenty of new bits about. Soul, Garage, Grime, Breakbeat, Funky House, Dubstep (not the noise these EDM producers make, Dubstep which actually has dub elements like the good days) are still alive too. Your never believe it by listening to generic Spotify playlists and radio though.

Exactly. No genre in gaming, music or films truly die. You might not get the biggest developers making strategy games anymore as they're all to busy making cliché games, forcing open worlds onto everyone but there will always be smaller Devs making them. Much like how horror was kept alive by the indie Devs before it became cool to make them again.

It was in comparison to the first two games but nothing like 4 and after. 3 just features more zombies on screen and more ammo. Let's hope thats all it is because it's anything like 3make ends up like RE4, 5 and 6 there's going to be a lot of pissed off fans.

Split Second is one of greatest racers no one played. Gutted they got shut down.

Krypton my opinion is shit for stating facts... What? You need a 90 inch-ish TV for the human eye to see the difference. So no your reply was absolute shit.

@Medman, talking sense don't get you far on N4G. That being said people disagree like the bubble system is still in place. A disagree on here means absolutely nothing anymore. Pointless having it.

Most people's eyes can't see the difference between 4K and 8K. It's going to be nothing more than a marketing gimmick to make the consumers shell out for another TV. It will be like the whole gold HDMI cable thing all over again.

@Echo

Nvidia Hair is just bells a whistles though. It's not a gameplay mechanic. It's an addition if your computer is capable of using it. We used to have games that relied heavily on physics or if not, played a massive part in their design such as Half Life 2, Halo, Black, Flatout. These games would have not been the same game if they had the option blurred out as the gameplay would have been altered.

Graphically, yes games are made to scale but you can't push other areas of game creation outside of prettier graphics without extra CPU, RAM etc. The best physics game I can't think of this generation was Control and that didnt hold up in some parts on the fps front. That weren't because of graphics, that was because of the physics pushing the consoles and some PCs to their limits. It needed extra power to be more stable which is what the next generation would grant us.

I love the idea of a new Resistance. Sony has mastered the third person adventure game genre but it's FPS have never taken off as much as they should have. They should reboot it. The premise of the game is amazing. I'd love to see what they could do with it on next gen hardware.

This. It also makes no sense to me what MS are doing with the XSX. That means their developers are going to have to create a game that will work on the base XO first and foremost, that will also work on the XSX. Developers can't push the boat out if it has to create a game on inferior hardware from the previous generation. All we'll see is a jump in graphics. What about AI, physics etc which ain't possible to push on current gen hardware?

I understand what they...

Overall it was a great game but also the begining of the downfall of Resident Evil. I'm glad since RE7, things have been getting a lot better at Capcom.

Tbf the animations are janky, the voice acting is quite bad for the most part and the controls are more tedious to use than they need to be. It's not a bad game. It's just not as amazing as everyone makes out to be either. Much like the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games.

CDPR looks to have come a long way from TW3 though as CP2077 looks like it's addressed all the issues I noted here which sounds good for the inevitable Witcher 4

The Pro and the XBox One X only really happened because 4K took off mid generation. Last generation HD and the console launches grew up side by side. It was ready out the box (for PS3 at least, the 360 had a revision) but to achieve 4K it would need a bit more power to produce, hence the Pro and the One X

So no it was not because the PS4 was under powered and if that was so, the Xbox One must have been severely underpowered judging by your logic...
