No one actually believes this right? The author apparently does though.

GTA only came out on Xbox after Sony's paid for exclusivity ran out.

Then again, this is the same guy who wrote the flamebait "PSN finally better than Xbox Live? - Devs think so" headline, and then asks "Where did I say PSN was better than XBL again?" when called out on it.

Lol, how long have you been beating on that PC is dead drum? I have magazine articles from the PS2's launch detailing how PC is dead. 10 years later, the same idiots are probably saying the same things.

They didn't foresee MMOs, they didn't foresee casual gaming, they didn't foresee digital distribution. You still don't see it. You're comparing PCs to a 1980s cell phone? Think about that analogy for a second longer than you did originally. Are you laughing at cell phones no...

Yes, because the digital download market is shrinking. Fail.

These guys have a chance for success. Triton had very similar technology, and failed, because they didn't have strong enough financial backing, or a committed publisher catalogue.

These guys are backed by Virgin, and they're giving Tomb Raider away for free, so I'll probably check it out.

Can't wait for the second part, it's good to see that production processes have moved on since last gen's EASpouse style debacles, and that quality of life issues matter.

That they were experimenting with planes is not an april fool's joke.

It was confirmed by journalists who visited their offices, including Edge who did a feature on the Year of Paradise.

I didn't think there was a PS3 exclusive RTS, unless Sony's first parties are cooking something up.

This is multi-platform.

You need to take into account that Sony has been hit with the rising Yen as well. It will actually make some parts cheaper to manufacture, but as they're getting less per unit sold it'll hurt them even more. I'm just going by what Nintendo are doing by raising prices, I'm guessing the Sony situation will be analogous.

Note that whether I'm a credible source or not has no connection to whether Guinness is.

Guinness - Most influential game of all time - Super Mario Kart.

This is nothing more than a PR stunt. Create your own records and then sell it to the kids. The developer gets PR, Guinness gets PR, who's going to lose? Oh yeah, the consumers who buy this crap thinking it's legit.

Obviously, these ratf-cks never had the f-cking pleasure of playing Kingpin. Although that was more dynamic than the on rails nature of Overkill.

Guiness are not the authority on anything games related. I wish kids would stop buying that marketing scam crap.

Oh f-ck off indysurfn. You have absolutely no idea on the broken hideous nature of American patent law, the whole system, especially regarding software patents is fundamentally broken. Ebay's "Buy it now" button was patented, and they had to fight for years, and eventually pay up out of court.

Because the cost of just paying the plaintiff is less costly than fighting your ground. From a pragmatic point of view it's easier for a firm to just offer up dirty money inste...

The Gizmondo seems more of an investment scam than anything else. Not too sure if it was a "mistake".

No, he's commented on what he thinks is an arduous submission cycle (as others have). But he's done fairly well on 360 alone, allowing him to self fund his next game free from outside interference - http://braid-game.com/news/...

That said, Braid was never a 360 exclusive, it was always destined for the PC. Being just one guy, he can't really do multi-platform. Hothead games are also porting it to Mac.

Virtual Boy, almost every none Nintendo handheld, N64 sticking to cartridges, RROD, Post-Mega Drive Sega.

I'm not sure if you're just trolling or an idiot. So you've been successful if it is the former.

You've really been drinking a bit too much of the kool-aid if you think innovation has anything to do with the size of the disk.

Empire: Total War is disagreeing with you, right now.

The original BioShock sold over 1 million on PC as of June 08.

And if COD "bombed" or whatever it is you're pulling out of your ass. Why is World at War available on PC?

It's T2, not EA.

And why would they drop PC support?

6302d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

No, it'd never happen. At worst, they'd just settle out of court. (which is an unofficial win for the patent troll)

"it became obvious that they were trying to connect him working on the PS3 to Mass Effect 2."

Yes, and that's what people are complaining about. Because no where is this actually mentioned in the article, Mass Effect 2 isn't mentioned at all, yet the post is still tagged as such.

But if the article had lead - "Dragon Age developer - ...." it would have got way less hits. That's the issue. There is nothing here to suggest that they're developing...

Why approve this? Why not just wait for the actual review rather than pointlessly digging a non-info story?

QUOTE - "the game wasn't the financial success it could have been"

You can always make more money, but Braid has been a financial success for Blow. It has done well enough to finance his next game through sales on 360 alone - http://braid-game.com/news/...

Given that he casually dropped the price of the PC version with barely a thought after some tiny internet annoyances, you can be confident...
