These are great scores, considering Japan tends to be anti-western style gaming. Still won't make a fan of the games but these are good scores none the less. I bet the 25th can't come soon enough for the rabid fans. *foaming at the mouth from anticipation*
I found it somewhat funny.
This is Yellow journalism at its best.
Sorry to disagree. GT has always been #1 for Sony when it comes to sales. MGS gets all the hype, but the number of unit sold when compared to GT, are in favor of GT.
Nice cars, are a universal obsession, while MGS is an acquired taste.
Thanks, as a Sony fan I am inspired by your words. Per your definition, the console I currently own and play has 2 of the best games ever created. Resistance and Motorstorm. Since it only has a little over 4 million consoles sold and these games have sold a little over a million, that means that these 2 games have reached about 25% of there fan base damn these game are the best ever made!!!!
Percentage of install based reached has nothing to do with the bigger picture of total...
but gamble for PSN points instead of money would be a great idea. $5 buys you 500 points (a penny a point). gamble earn more points cash out then use said points to buy games on the PSN. 4000 points, warhawk
3000 points Tekken DR:online bundle and so on. But of course for this to work they would have to have games where the player plays against the house (blackjack, Roulette, Slots) to prevent people from gambling their points/money against other people.
But an 18+ room...
Whens the police auction???? cause i need a new TV.
Secondly, congrats on these dumasses for ruining their lives over simplistic items that don't mean anything once you get them.
DONT DROP THE SOAP!
Gran Turismo 1 = 10.85 million sold
Gran Turismo 2 = 9.37 million sold
Gran Turismo 3 = 14.87 million sold
Gran Turismo 4 = 8.79 million sold
Halo 1 = 6.43 million sold
Halo 2 = 8.27 million sold
Halo 3 = *1.5 pre-orders
As you can you see a game that has basically no story, non of the so-called "greatness" of Halo has been outselling halo since the series was created. Homework completed can I get extra credit as we...
Halo 3, by the sound of it, has made a lot of improvements over the last 2, don't know if it's enough to make me a fan but at least the fans of the series get more than just minor improvements, as was the case with Halo2 over Halo 1. The part that seems like a big let down is the Multiplayer. NO clans, how do they remove a big aspect of community from the game, clans is what multiplayer is all about for the serious player. Plus (even though this can change) no MS or Bungie dedicated server...
and even that is still up to choice. A game like Halo 3 or Killzone will sell millions based on hype alone. But games like Okami and Psychonauts get great reviews from every website and magazine and don't sell anything. High hyped game + good reviews =$$$$$$$$$
High reviews + no hype = no sales or sleeper hit. High hype + low reviews = (this hurts as a sony fan) you get Lair
Fanboys are the #1 buyers.
$600 for a console, that does not have any reports of mass breakdowns.
While at $400 you get a console that had failures rates anywhere between 25-33%. I rather spend $200 more and get more functionality and reliability then to spend $400 and have a 25-33% chance that am gonna have to send my box in for repairs. Not to mention all the "options" that seem like necessity (Charger for control, media card reader, HDD). to each their own I guess.
All but 10% of 360 fans say they don't like the style of a JRPG. Then why would all of you go flaming on a PS3 thread and post that FF13 is coming to the 360. Last time I checked that was the biggest of all JRPG's. Even if FF13 were to come out for the 360, IT WON"T SELL. 360 fans do not like a majority of the products that are targeted with a eastern crowd in mind first. PS3 fans like MGS and FF, 360 fans like Splinter Cell and Oblivion. that just happens to be the way it is.
and on 9/26 you'll be back since Halo 3 will bless your console with the red ring of death. Repair Beyond.
on deaf ears brother. All the fanboys (PS3 and 360) on this site don't care about reason, all they care about is that you don't talk about their console of choice.
I agree with what you posted 100%
I really don't know what why everybody seems to be having problems.
I bought the game 2 days ago and I can't put it down. Even on ranked servers I haven't waited more then 5-10 minutes to get into a game. and when I have gotten into a game I play for hours.
Warhawk is great. The one thing that I wish it had is perk system similar to the one in C.o.D4 MP.
How do you play these AAA on your console when it's always out for repairs?
Let me guess, 45 minutes at a time.
Just make an american account. I have a european and a japanese account. Sorry for my friends across the atlantic since there is nothing in the europe store that I want. But my friends across the pacific have the best PSN store. I have downloaded demos from there and they work fine.
I see your point smokey. The mighty NES was also my very first console. at around the same age that they seem to be targeting with the Wii. ( i was 5)
But by the same token, I don't mind playing "kiddie" game when their fun. Wiisports, super smash bros, etc. the problem I have is that even those seem to be in short supply on a console that is targeted for a younger audience. At this point I would much rather get a DS then a wii. But your point is well taken.
It surprises me as a PS3 fan how well the console seems to be doing, despite not having any real system sellers. I mean warhawk is a great game but no PS3 fan or fanboy was really hyping this one up, the way they were Lair and Heavenly Sword. We all know what the critics have to say about Lair and Heavenly and Warhawk. And with the upcoming holiday line-up I see the PS3 further improving their sales.
The Wii is also surprising to me. The whole it's only $250 excuse doesn't cu...
CAMPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
j/k I got the game last night, I have to say it is one of the finest online games to come out. old school fun with new tech toys. Honestly when you look at it it's almost like getting 2 games in one. You can either play normally like BF or Counter Strike or just take to the skies and dogfight, anyway to anyone who is interested if you shoot or get shot down by kornbeaner, that's me.
PLAY B3YOND!!!
If confirmed, the PS3 will gain and may even surpass in total console sales. This game has a cult following that very few games can obtain.
