I just happened to be employed at activision, and while I can't get into detail of what the story or features are, the one thing I can tell you and that I have seen first hand is both the PS3 and 360 version of the game runs at 60FPS. Now wipe your face cause you have S*it all over it from having it stuck up your ass for talking about something you know nothing about.
I have a PS3 and I love football. Madden on the 360 runs at 60FPS, thats great. What it runs 30FPS on the PS3, what $60 for an inferior version of the same game, then you won't see my $60 dollars. its almost impossible to tell the difference, But the fact that not as many frame are shown per second affects more then just the Animations.
It also affects controls and response times. In a game where 1 inch to the left or right means the difference between a loss of yards and a big play, I need all the responsiveness and control I can get.
Whoever said the PS3 version ran at 60fps LIED!!!!!!
At 25% you can see the difference in the animation.

You forgot Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank, Little big planet. Those 3 titles even out with the list you gave for the 360.
Granted they are new IP's outside of Ratchet and Clank, but just like the 360 outside of HALO 3 all those games you mentioned are new IP's.
Just because you don't care much of the titles for the PS3 doesn't mean others don't. Not arguing with you, but there are always different strokes for different folks.

Halo 3 will break records when launched thats pretty much a given. But this holiday HALO will have some pretty stiff competion in the form of GTA, MASS Effect, Bioshock, and C.O.D. 4.
Now I know in that grand scheme of all things XBOX, Halo reigns supreme, But never in the histroy of halo's launch history has HALO had such tough competition. HALO will break sales and all but it won't be the best game released on the 360 this Holiday season.
In all honesty I was a little bummed about the demo.
Almost a gig worth of space for a roughly 6 min demo. The game looks absolutely gorgeous but the gameplay that is presented is just to short.
When the second group of enemies is defeated and the door opens I was like "oh yeah come to D............" "WTF" "coming September" I damn near broke a controller.
you will NOT be disapointed. This game is so freakin great. just believe me when I say I know. This will beat Halo this holiday season.
Maybe not in Holiday sales because of the rabid HALO fans out there, but when reviewed this will SH!T all over HALO3, matter fact till more is released on KILLZONE 2, I believe it SH!T all over that game as well.
but I am sick and tired of watching the same old stage over and over and over again. First it was the arena stage for about 6 months and now it's been this section of the game for the last 6 months.

From the looks of it, they got it to run at 60FPS and were also able to take away that washed out look that COD3 had very good news indeed.
Great to see. You would never see this if Peter Moore were still at MS for the same reason you don't see Ford and Chevy guys at the same B-B-Q.
They have to be enemies. But now it's like Peter got a Position at Goodyear and we can all be friends now. Hopefully this will be where he can shine cause his last 2 stays at a hardware position were not the best. Maybe he is much more of a software guy and future titles from EA might just show that.
I am gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. The reason he has shown such disstain for Sony is because he is very loyal to the companies that he has worked for, both Sega and Microsoft. Now that he for the lack of a better term "has to play nice" with all three companies to put out the best possible product for all consoles. I'm pretty sure that he would not let his past employment get in the way of what he wants to accomplish in his career.
This is crazy just a week ago he was rocking out on "Rock Band"
and now he's gone, that pretty quick.

am gonna give the edge to Gears of War. Mainly because it is a finished product. I can play it now if I wanted to. While overall the I think the package might be better in Killzone2, the textures need to be fixed as well as some graphical effect such as fire and lighting. The graphics seem to be more ambitious in Killzone2 but as of right now ( I know it's a pre-alpha build) they don't have that spit shine the Gears has shown.

don't release this SKU. It's already one to many being released. then it has no backwards compatibility for $400. That is crazy, that is a suicidal move if I ever heard one. All I can say is WTF. Tragedies like this always happen for the same F*cking reason. No parental control, while I don't think a videogame should ever be the cause of a stabbing there were signs prior to this that the bothership might've been a little harsh. is shaping up to be a year I can't wait for MGS4 and KZ2 plus who knows what else Sony will release. Late '07 early '08 is gonna be a treat for Huge Sony fans such as myself and many others.
Can't wait. For now Sony give me some demos or a beta or something until the madness begins starting with Lair and Heavenly Sword.
