In order for a PS3 game to run at 1080p it has to do so natively. The only way that the PS3 will not have "true" 1080p is if Infinty Ward left out a few horizontal pixels and decided to upscale it that way. The PS3 cannot upscale PS3 games from a lower resolution. I believe there was one game (MLB '07: The Show) that tired to upscale a native 720p resolution to a 1080i resolution and the results were $hitty at best.

The fix is quite easy. There are a few 7-11 eleven stores by my house that require the cashier to swipe a customers DL or ID in order to buy products with restrictions i.e. beer and tobocco products. Why wouldn't the big companies like target and best buy and others do the same. That way when stuff like this happens and parents look for somebody to blame they can only blame themselves.

All I can say is WOW!!! this is a franchise that has lasted for over 20 years and Miyamoto still finds a way to keep it fresh. The only thing I wish they would fix and this has been my problem since mario first went 3-D is the camera. It can be very difficult at times to judge distance the way the Camera is set up. Having been fortunate enough to play all 3 version of the game, this game is gonna leave some jaws on the floor. It looks that damn good. Personally I love the way the PC controls and looks on a high end PC, but if that is not an option (and for most it isn't) either version will do just fine.
