My PC will Murder this game. Hopefully I can find a good deal after launch since I don't plan on getting this day 1.

Its not called Dirt3 edition cause of the game it comes with. This is a special edition card, similar to the Toxic Edition cards Sapphire releases. This card has a dual fan cooling solution most 6950's only have 1 fan, it has an extra 1gb of its DDR5 ram for 2gbs total opposed to 1gb, than it feature cosmetic changes like color and cover variations. So this really a HD6950 toxic edition with small changes.

Why is this even news? Look if Battlefield3 is looking like a disappointment to you then come October don't buy it, we'll all be better off that way. Wait for CoD in November and play the same game you've been playing for about 4 years now. Battlefield 3 is bringing a lot of technical aspects that consoles have yet to see in a multiplat game, so enjoy it or leave it alone. And why does everyone think you'll need a $2000 rig to get the most out of this game? If you need $2000 f...

But sheep read reviews and make their decisions based on those reviews. So if you grease up the reviewers, you are guaranteed good reviews and great sales. This new era of Gamers don't rely on word of mouth from their peers they wait for metacritic averages and reviewers, most of who have lost all sense of passion for the art and would easily sell their souls for a worthless piece of exclusive swag. I'm I being extreme? Maybe but honestly how wrong can I be when the last 4 Call of dut...

I actually liked the demo for this game, but my problem with it was the price, $60 is a lot to pay for a game now-a-days. I reserve that high price for a game that I know I will enjoy. Games like uncharted and Ratchet and Clank, Starcraft2 and few other select titles that I really have to have day 1 or within a couple of weeks after launch. If I saw this game on clearance at Target for about $20 or less and I have the extra cash lying around I would buy it without thinking, but as it stands I...

I wish a retailer would just say "Okay, see how that works out for you" "I'll still be here in 6 months if you decide different"

Be careful what you wish for Jaffe If twisted metal is released to 7's - 8's, who are you going to blame? The reviewers that finally got tough or Reviewers that got gifts from your competitors while you didn't send any. While I agree that reviewers should get tougher especially if they have a trusting group of readers, that part of the industry is just as corrupt as all other entertainment divisions. Most of them only care about, is how they can get the most useless stuff from pub...

The problem with E3 is that it has two-faces. theres the face that the mass general public sees. The press conferences, the numbers all the chest pumping, etc. Then there the side that the "IN" crowd gets to experience first hand, the games, the sights and sounds. I got into the show this year for the second time in three years and it was great for me. Getting to see a bunch of games that I wouldn't normally see or play was great, seeing the booth babes first hand, seeing everyt...

I favorites at the show were the NoS girls and the SSX girls.

Funny, everybody here is babe bashing, I bet all of you wouldn't say a damn thing if these girls were offering you the goods.

Fanboys make me sick. Insomniac are still top-notch PS3 developers and to treat them like less is a shame. If you want to blame somebody blame yourself for not buying their games, PS3 fanboys made Call of Duty the best selling franchise on the PS3 as Ratchet and Clank struggled to make a million sales per title. What else are they suppose to do? stay "loyal" to fans who don't support them? how much sense does that make? they need to eat, to support their families and if you guys...

That only applies to big blockbuster only publisher like EA and Activision. But for the most part everything thing that has hit recently that has become a cult-indie classic got its start on PC. Farmville, Portal, Minecraft and world of goo. Plus the PC offers many great opportunities for different types of gaming services that allow gamers to self-determine the value of said game for themselves. Games like Maplestory and other pay-to-play games allow users to set their limit as low or high f...

I do both, but for overall gaming. I think a PC has a greater value than any console out there. I have a PS3 because I love Sony's First and second party line-up, I also have a Wii, cause I grew up with Nintendo and now that I have a son myself, he's gonna know Mario, Link, Samus and more. My PC is for everything else. Starcraft 2, all FPS shooters that are not sony exclusives and all multiplats that I want to try, I wait for, since Steam has crazy sales like six months after a game c...

Black was a pretty good game, but it had a major gameplay flaw. NO JUMP BUTTON, WTF was that all about? I remember being super frustrated that something so standard was left out of a game where a jump button could save countless seconds and tries by being able to jump over object opposed to walking around them. I wouldn't mind seeing a part 2 though given that I love Criterion games as a developer, but I hope they add a jump button this time.

@hiredhelp, yeah, they have their main studio in Burbank, CA and they have a studio in North Carolina, I'm not sure if each studio is separated by platform or IP development, but two studio is what they have.

Whats with all these "Get your girl playing games too" articles. She either likes them or not, My fiance loves her DS, especially if a new Professor Layton was just released, other than that and few others shes not into it, why I'm gonna try to force her to enjoy something the way I do, the work and aggravation it would take to get her to appreciate games the way I do will just take away from the joy. She enjoys her books and movies; I have games and technology it works, so why ...

Why is there still no news on what Respawn is working on? I just want to know that something is brewing from them.

Steam has treated me great as well. I picked up both Mass effect 1 and dead space one for, I believe $10 during EA sales week and last week I picked up Splinter Cell:convictions and Rainbow 6:vegas 2 for $10 during Ubisoft week. Steam is one of those services I avoided for a while since I didn't have a gaming PC but now that its upgraded I'm glad I use it.
