Just to answer the title so as to not give this "News" hits. The answer is no. There is still so many exclusives to be released not to mention the system has IP series like Ratchet, Uncharted, Resistance and more that you can go back and play once you buy a Playstation 3. Also in a year or two when the new Playstation gets announced the playstation 3 will still have about a year or two of support since that is Sony's MO when it comes to letting go of an old system. And once supp...

Who said Normal? I am telling you what I have, rough price of everything I bought and what is the the most recent game I ran, that being Deus Ex.

I never said anything about normal. I was simply stating that Websites and the mainstream gaming media always tie a stigma to PC gaming as being expensive when, as I listed above, is not the case. My PC for what is does, is no more expensive than a console.

You're good, dual 5800's puts you in the same class as the GTI 580/HD6900 class. You should be good to go.

what are the rest of the specs? The videocards are good but you may have bottlenecks elsewhere.

Stories like this is what kills PC gaming in general. It gives people the fear that to run a game like battlefield 3 you need to spend over a grand just for the privilege. If say I have the recommended specs what are we talking about as far as performance? What resolution, Graphic setting, filtering setting are guaranteed with the recommended specs? if the settings are high across the board than adjustments can be made to find a middle ground where graphics and performance will be ideal for t...

Lame but true, Videogames are a business first. No developer or publisher wants to invest a huge amount of time and money to provide "The Ultimate" experience. Publishers are like drug dealers, "we'll give you your little fix now and in a year or two we'll return with another taste."

While I agree with your statement, A game that did all that you are saying based on Difficulty would be a nightmare to program, design and test. If some developers can't make great game in 2 years time already having a standard for what difficulty should do imagine what a game might look like if a certain difficulty presented you with a different gaming experience?

I will be awaiting your review of Call of duty. Which is now on its 7th game in the time it took Gears to make to 3.

I hoped MS never stopped publishing this series on PC. But I guess if they can't nickel and dime you for online play they don't want you playing their published games.

But money causes corruption anywhere in the world not just not in America, I can see the viewpoint from which you are coming from, I believe it's a mixture of the want of money and also the idolization of stupidity. I will be fourth right, America is stupid when it comes to who they idolize. We (in general) tend to want to be the flashy sportstar instead of the guy who plays the game for the passion, we want money in the easiest possible way and idolize those who can make it fast, like th...

But aren't you further adding to the problem by saying this is an "American" problem created by Americans and delivered by Americans? I live in America but I take responsibility for my actions, while you seem to pin this problem on american's and allow other's who "Caught on" a free pass.

Going by the history I have with N4G which goes back about 6 years, the main people I saw spewing hate on the Playstation 3 were actually foreigners. 1 guy fr...

I believe it comes down to scale, there are very few games that are as huge as GTA 4, the game's world is just massive, so I guess seeing the entire game world in a HD photo-realistic is something that shows their engines powers.

I mean if the engine can make GTA 4's world look great imagine what this engine can do if you applied it a smaller game.

Imagine Portal, Starcraft 2 or any other PC game that already looks great with these graphics, it woul...

"Some of the perceptions heavy video-game players tended to have of their parents were that they nagged a lot or did not provide adequate supervision."

That is where one should stop reading, that is the sole reason for the response kids have towards their parents. Most parents now a days do not spend enough time actually talking to their kids, playing with their kids or interacting in a positive manner with their kids.

I've been playing videogam...

I know first hand, that pretty much 99.9% of all software released has a few glaring problems that are allowed to release for the sake of meeting a deadline on both the software dev/publisher side and on the console manufacture side in order to make money or to not lose market share to the other manufacture.

Games get sent for submission and any huge problems like crashes/freezes, horrible lag (and I do mean horrible in the worst possible way) that are found by the manufactu...

What I find funny is that these people call anybody soft. They are reporters, not players. It is easier to comment and report on something that you do not take an active participation in.

As far as E-sports vs. Physical sport, its two different types of stress but it really comes down to the person that competes. I doubt that many E-sport stars can handle the rigor of an actual sport but the same can be said vice-versa, I don't think there are many Mainstream sportstars ...

I have a OG phat launch 60GB, thats the only reason I don't want to get rid of it. I waited for 4 days in a cold ass line to get it, otherwise I would have sold it for parts or for somebody to fix it. But Craigslist has listings for repairmen I just need extra money, I should be able to get it replaced before UC3 releases which is the one game I have to get at launch.
