Shouldn't games be reviewed against their competition? If this is a good kids game and there isn't many around, especially tied to a license, shouldn't it get an overall higher rating? I'm not saying there should be a perfect score plastered across this review, but for a license kid's game that is produced and designed solidity, isn't it at least worth of a 3.5? Giving it a 2.5 puts it in the same category as POS kid's games. Reviewers?!?! give "M" rated ...
Why would you mentioned the people you hate when everything was going so good? This was a gathering of PC gamers with no mention of those other gamers and you ruined it, WHY! I have another system but I saw no reason to mention it. Oh'well so much for a clean thread.
I think you're pretty good for the next few years as long as you don't want to run games at some crazy ass res, like 2650 x 2160 or something to that extent. Because if you look at all the reviews for Videocards now a days, especially high-end cards and your HD 6950 fits that bill. Reviewers will always crank up the res to some geeky 2000 x 2000 number which really makes no sense in real world gaming. I have a HD 6850 and its connected to my Samsung which only does 1680 x 1050 but can...
This is EVO, if he wasn't playing for "real" than he has done himself and this kid a dishonor. Noah has beat top community players before so I am not going to downplay his victory at this grand event. If Flush didn't take this serious than its his loss, I don't care if your 8 or 80, if we're at a tournament I don't wanna lose and you're age will not determine If I take you serious or not.
I'm going to play devil's advocate here. The reason why this is happening is because "Gamers" demand it to be this way. When MvC3 was in development and being released people couldn't get enough of it and couldn't stop saying "We need this game now" and seeing as Capcom does not have that many successful IP's, they made a very craft business decision. They stopped development early, polished it as much as they could (or felt was necessary) and released ...
This is a very tragic incident, but why does there have to be reference to the fact that she was playing on her 360 at the time? the way the title is written and they way the story sounds, it makes it seem like the 360 was somehow responsible for her death. I mean if she was on a 2-night gaming marathon than maybe I can see that being in the story, but it still wouldn't be the machines fault. This is a sad story made even sadder by a media outlet who sees it as a way to push an anti-gamin...
I used to put in the time back when it launched and by far was the best online game I ever played this gen, PERIOD! No game has come close to scale of war that is possible in this game. But I doubt that even if I got into the beta for Starhawk I actually use it, since I just don't seem to have the time like I once did. But I can't wait for release though the game looks really good and now with an SP campaign I know for a fact I will at least get it for the story.
@jacksheen0000
yeah most milking begins the way it has with Capcom, The Tony hawk games is what did it for Activision and it just continued from there. But to tell the truth, Capcom releasing a new iteration of their fighting games doesn't really bug me, because honestly as these games evolve new characters and balances are needed to keep the game fresh, but they totality screwed the pooch with AE as far as balances go. The thing that gets me with Capcom is charging for C...
Capcom's milking practices came after Sf4 was a success. Activision has been doing it for years. Since Call of Duty 2 there has been 1 call of duty game released every year. after GH2 they started making one GH game every year and then moved on to making one every 6 months (and none of which were backwards compatible with the last one, the way Rock Band did their games.) over all consoles including the Nintendo DS, same thing with Tony hawk games, After 3 they made a new hawk game every y...
Wish I could take back my purchase. I bought it day 1 played it for about a week and decided I didn't like the game. The Hype got me big, I even bought the collector edition. :(
Main reason I won't be buying Gears 3. I don't own a 360 and its not releasing for PC. So UNCHARTED 3 all the way for me.
I agree with you in that MP is not something that should award "FUN" over skill but that is exactly what has happen. Call of Duty MP is the most played not because its great but because its easy and rewards losing just as much as it rewards winning.
Games like Halo, Battlefield and even street fighter which penalizes players for losing are not that popular because the new breed of "gamer" does not like to spend time on a game in which they are shown they ...
I like a balance of both. I take a look at a game like super street fighter 4 as a nice balance of both skill and accessibility. All the specials in the game are easy enough to do and the basic combos in the game are also fairly easy to pull off. the game is great fun with friends and if by chance you want take your skills to the next level there are things you can do to that, like enter tournaments. But in the other end of the spectrum you have games like Call of Duty, which by far are to ea...
no actually, Devkits are closer to 20K with test kit being close to 5k. PS3 is by far the most expensive kit for dev and testing purposes. 360 kits are about half that for each version of their hardware. Wii was the cheapest and I think still might be but the Vita has close that gap. Good move by Sony. I guess all the R&D from the PS3 is finally paying off.
We won't, but millions will.
not offensive or defensive. Just saying, to each their own. H+ seems to fit my needs, they seems to have more than what I have time to watch, so its a win for me. I'm not much for watching a ton of shows at once, I tend to game more than watch shows and the shows I do tend to watch are on Hulu so how can I go wrong?
They tend to have what I watch on Hulu. I saw all 7 seasons of "The Office", I watch Law and Order:SVU and L.A. and a bunch of shows from Fox, like Masterchef, House, family guy and more. Don't know where you get that all they have is Alf and 21 Jump street? but I guess. plus whatever can't be found on Hulu can be found through a ton of websites for download.
Another get story from the fine folks at Kotaku.
Seriously they are like the worst "gaming" website around. Take everything you hate from all gaming websites put them all in one place and there you have kotaku.com
HuluPlus + Redbox for me
Only game on the list that I really want to play is Fable 3. But I have a PC for that, I just haven't had the time to pick it up and play it. Every other game is Meh! IMO. So far there have only been a handful of games that make me think I should get a 360 but those games have been released on PC and for the most part have always been far cheaper than the $60 price tag. So win-win for me, plus I don't have to pay that extra $60 per year BS that is called Xbox live.
