He must be a 360 owner and used to it with the RRoD. *ZING!*
I really just want the return of Franchise mode the way it was in '06 for PS2. When they removed it in the first releases on Next-gen I stopped playing the game all together.
The irony of this article.
Because people still shell out money for any fighter they release. When our peers stop failing so will this company.
Good review, but I had a question about franchise mode. I haven't played Madden since the PS2 days. 06 was my last. My main thing was franchise. During an offline franchise, can I handle all aspects of my team, including move the team to a different state and manage the prices of my stadium and such. Franchise is where I spent most of my madden and stopped playing once those options were gone. Have they returned as they were back then? or are they still limited to what they have been this...
Totally agree with you as far as their contributions to the console industry as a whole, but their focus seems a little off lately. Not game-wise but control-wise. The Wii, 3DS and WiiU remind me of more refined Powergloves and Vitural boys. While they are extremely cool to use and play with, they are not practical and at the end wind-up just being left to sit there. The Wii and 3DS spend most of the time just sitting there collecting dust instead of being played, mainly due to its controls. ...
I grew up with Nintendo and respect them for what they are and were, but lately they have focused more on gimmickry than actual games. The Wii would've been a great system if it didn't require 99% of titles to use the ridiculous motion controls, I have literally stopped playing a bunch of games mid-way through because I couldn't take the fact that I have to jiggle my control all the way through it.
Same goes for the 3DS. The titles for the 3DS use too many non-tr...
Capcom doesn't send any copies directly to any store, they use distributors which in turn supply all the near by chains with the orders they demand. In order for Capcom to really stop this they will need to not supply the distributors so early, but then they run the risk of the game not being available on release date or best case scenario won't be available until early afternoon of release date to certain stores. As long a popular game is set to release street dates will always be br...
Patcher: Just doesn't get anything videogame related.
This is still a thing? I guess 6 years in and people just can't enjoy their gaming.
People who run into driver issues with AMD must not know how to install them properly. I have been running with AMD for awhile and I never had issue with them, even when overclocking. So don't know.
But waiting for a further drop in price before I invest more money into a videocard.
BLAH, BLAH TERRIBLE SALES BLAH! I have owned one since launch and its the most played system in my house. At this point I don't care if only Sony Makes games for it. They have a stock of great developers and have been able to make a portable system for which they can make ports of their PS3 titles with very little loss in Graphical fidelity. Add this with their, right now small but growing library of titles that use a cloud save function so that you can continue your current game on eithe...
I would agree with you on a graphical stand point. But Bend's story telling is pretty bad.
Golden Abyss dragged on for way to long and story was usually pretty flat.
Haven't really looked forward to a CoD since MW1, but this looks mighty good. Might, MIGHT have to actually get this if the first two weeks of MP performance seems solid.
Ain't getting it at launch, since all CoD's have sucked at launch, but if the game looks strong after two weeks, definite buy.
Shame the Vita has not performed a tad bit better. The Vita is a beast and right now is the most played system in my house. After working for 14-hours nothing is better than a few game of MLB 12:The Show while laying in bed. Take that back Sex is better after work while laying in bed, but three steps down from that The Show on the Vita is pretty great.
The only issue I ever had with a videogame is MW3, when the little girl gets blown up. Reason being, is that it didn't move the plot along in a meaningful way. Unlike "No Russian" I feel that this part of MW3 was merely added to add shock value to the game. They could've easily started the next mission with the cut-scene they originally started the mission with and nobody would know they missed anything. It basically was "kill faceless, nameless little girl" and tr...
Just HD remix the original, sell it for $10 sold. I'll get it. This is gonna take some serious convincing for me to buy.
What is this article referring to? Videogames have grown into something that very few movies can ever dream of matching. Movies as a media form has been around 120 years while videogames have only been around 30 - 35 years, but have managed to produce huge franchises that for better or worse are recognized the world over. Franchises like Halo, Call of Duty, Grand theft auto, Final Fantasy, Donkey Kong and Mario.

I have had some hands on time with the game. It's pretty F'n fun. Since the whole point is to get Super meter to obtain a "Kill-Shot" the game plays more aggressive then a typical fighter. Since no aggression, means no meter, players can't lame out a win. It looks weird and plays weird at first, but once you grab the concept of the "Kill-shot" it's nothing but fun.
This is the last time I remember being excited about a nintendo console. But no lie, the Wii U has me excited.
