I have a feeling that the next Gameboy will take a ton of inspiration from the current Wii U controller. The 2DS is already heading that way, I wouldn't be surprised to see the next handheld look like the Wii U controller and probably be used for remote play similar to how Sony plans to use the Vita for the PS4.

I had hands-on time with the DS4 or whatever it is called and honestly I was not impressed. I loved the DS2, got used to the DS3 but with the DS4 Sony seem to make it a tad bit smaller so the the analog sticks fit in just a bit tighter. The Sticks do feels better but the overall size of the controller is just a bit small for my taste.

The XB1 controller feels better in the hands, but if I hand to pick a controller that is better for gaming in general it would be the DS4, I j...

Because it's a way to get your brand out to more people. Plus MS doesn't make money per games sold on PC/Windows. If I wanted to, I can make a game, sell it and MS wouldn't get a cut. Unlike with Consoles, every game sold on the Wii U,PS4 and Xbox One. Those manufactures get a cut, so why wouldn't you bring out a console if you can and survive , there is money to be made there if successful.

Also a console offers Developers an easier way to develop, developer...

@60fps 720p which can be upscaled is not a bad place to start the new generation. Maybe BF5 will run at 1080p @60fps but for those who don't have a monster of a PC and get a next-gen system this is good news indeed.

I haven't really noticed it though. Granted my MMO experience is limited, I have only noticed that when you buy subscription blocks you buy blocks at the regular rate. 3 months for $45 and so on. But Sub cost needs to be lower in this day in age. In a age where F2P have brought up the quality of MMOs I see no reason to pay $15 a month for any game.

I wish some of these MMOs gave their users a discount if they bought subscription blocks instead of sticking them with a high monthly payment. $100 a year is a better deal than $15 a month or $35 for 3 months would be good as well. We'll have to see how it goes.

The PC market used to be unto itself, there are very few games that are PC exclusive now. Now more than ever for developers, the gap in which to port over to consoles is smaller thanks to AMD sharing hardware with consoles.

This means a lot for AMD as they have now become really the only option for those devs that are looking to develop on PC and console with their hardware being not only in low end, mid-tier, mid-high tier and top end PCs but being in all 3 current home cons...

These people are ass-backwards. Women are out there in the real battle field being shot at. Why, even in a imagery world should they not be represented? Not only MEN die in War jerks, Women die too.

I like this number, reason being, it makes others aim higher. Just like what Halo did during the last generation, CoD is doing this generation and what WoW has been doing for years on the PC MMORPG market. There has to be a King to dethrone to keep things interesting. NOW EVERY OTHER DEV! POWER UP! TO OVER 9000!

Just for clarification it's not just shooters that this promotes growth in, every other Dev wants their game, regardless of Genre to have this following. Next-gen...

And what happens when you forget to buy extra batteries? You can't be bothered to plug in your controller during a download to keep it charged but you can just stop playing and go to the store? Makes complete sense.

4688d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

For people wondering why MS is still using batteries there is a simple explanation. Licensing, Microsoft does not manufacture hardware, therefore everything that Microsoft puts out is manufactured by a third party or a partnered second party and this drives cost up for them since they have to pay someone for the labor. Sony on the other hand manufacturers many of the things they make so they could afford to make controllers with a battery Because they manufacture both no license, no third par...

Let's see, PS4 + Vita for $500 or a Xbox one for $500. 1 box would contain two systems while the other would contain just 1. How would people see this as too expensive?

In simple terms, Sony invested a ton of Money in the development of PSASBR and it bombed something huge. How do you recover some money? License the games IP, if Coke is willing to sponsor this app why not? Sony makes money off the sponsorship regardless if the app sells or not. That's business folks, like it or not.

No Jump button. Done right there. Having to walk around everything was so stupid.

Why not? I like to play through fighting game stories as well, but the casual is not what keeps these games alive. It's the Tournament player that does that. Melee just drew one of the biggest crowds ever for a fighting game stream and it was all due to the fighting game community. If Nintendo wants to support that more, that will be the smartest thing they could do considering it's that community that help raise almost $100,000 for breast cancer research while at the same time keepin...

There is no point to naming a sequel after this effort. If Sony decides to give it another go, change the name completely and get as far away from this game all together. This game didn't sell well so why try to reach the same niche audience? Give people what they want character wise, make a fighting system that is actually good with better netcode and then maybe it will be worth make a spiritual sequel.

Why do the PS3 colors look so muted? I just got done playing the first two hours and the colors looked nothing like what is shown in this video. I'm posting those first two hours on my youtube channel for anybody who want to check it out. If I'm wrong then so be it, but what is on my channel is straight capture and upload, no rendering of the capture was done.

For a company that doesn't seem to care about next-gen consoles Nvidia is certainly doing a lot of talking about it. I don't think this is directly pointed at Sony, but Sony was the only company in which providing a chip would have been possible. AMD (back then ATi) has been providing chips for Nintendo since the Gamecube, last gen it was Nintendo and Microsoft, Nvidia only had Sony in bed with it last-gen and to top it off it didn't even provide them with a great chip even for th...

Sony is my go to platform and has been for years. I think what their doing for PS+ is amazing. But the last thing I need personally is other bill to worry about. If I have the ability to pay for a product up front than that's what I do.

The only thing that rapes my wallet to no end is my cell, pay for a smart phone up front then your tied for 2-years, but a phone now a day is a must, so I deal with it. A PS4 is a want, but not a must. If it is only one option, then good ...

I'm looking at the supposed specs and it doesn't really phase me none. CPU is really such a small part of the overall power, that I wouldn't mind if they use an outdated APU, but packed in a great GPU with it. As long as the PS4 has a minimum 2Gigs of Ram (+ 512mb to 1gig separate for the OS) with a great GPU it will have long legs.

E3 this year should be great.
