The library is pretty sweet, I have bought: - Uncharted, Army Corpse of Hell, Hot Shots Golf, Reality Fighters, Virtua Tennis, Motorstorm:RC, and Mutant blob.
All is pretty awesome, 90%-80%+ games, if I were to give a review-score.
Except for Reality Fighters wich I didn't find as fun, and thus didn't get much playtime.
I also bought Hoard for the PSP, planning to buy God Eater Burst next.. :P
I'm also wanting most of the...
Don't listen to gaffyh.
Army Corps of Hell is awesome, I don't know how it stack up to Pikmin tough, since I've never played that, but I'm at more than 10 hours of ACoH, and isn't even half done.
I were abit worried when I saw the trailer and imagined playing with the hardrock-music, all the time, but Vita has this nice custom music ability. :)
Pretty sure it's either God of War 3 gameplay, or Sony all-stars gameplay.
He did say in his twitter that they'd debut gameplay for the first time, not neccesary announce a new game.
It would be awesome if E3 came along, and Sony announced a dozen great exclusive titles wich everybody wanted, then raised the price with 100$.. :D
People not willing to fork out 250$ for this great device - dosn't deserve to play on it, and can stick to flinging birds on pigs. :P
I get it that small sites like 'beefjack.com' have to steal developer-statements from proper sources like a gamasutra dev-post-mortem.
But the least the article-writer could do is have his own opinion on the game, rather than mentioning metacritic.
i.e. make a impression-article on the game, or review if he likes it enough to finnish it.
That way they might start to get some original content after a while, and make it more worthwile to go there.
I don't agree with him in regards to the optional touchcontrol were particulary malplaced in the Uncharted: GA.
Yeah, the climbing is more fun if you play normally - but I discovered a few cool features, like the treasure pickups were a nice touch, especially in cutscenes - made it more interactive while not loosing the cinematic experience.
And I also tought it were much cooler to swipe downwards on screen in a fistfight, and see Nathan Drake duck down after you...
A fine way to go. :)
As a Vita-owner, I don't think it's anything wrong with the software-lineup for Vita, it's only been out 2 months, and I can turn it on and start buying around 40-50 Vita-native titles here in Europe, wich is amazing, and dosn't usually happen on new console-launches even when the platforms have been released years before in other places.
And I can also buy a few hundred PSP, PS1 and similar titles, and those look and play better than they did on PSP.
Why tag it as a Vita-article when no games mentioned are Vita-games?
How do you downvote these submissions?
Good to hear that you're still having fun doing these podcasts. You should do one every day, instead of every week - and increase the length.. :P
Think of all the fun you will have.. :)
Just kidding, I can't imagine editing these..
Keep up the good work. :)
I only have the Vita myself, and are pretty ignorant of 3DS.
Basically all I've seen on 3DS is the Fifa-game, and the 3D picture camera.
I love the Vita tough, I tought it strange that the article didn't mention Live-area page 2 where you can see your friends acocomplishment in that game, and the various community features and similar stuff on social features, aswell as party chat while playing and stuff. :-/
Well, obviously it's abit better with system features like party-chat and similar, drop-in/out coop and similar, but the difference might still be to big. Would be cool if they could say what the 'minor alterations' actually were on the vita-version - so people could decide for themselves weather they should be ripped off, if they want a hack'n slash at launch. :-/
I definately agree.
It seems like that's how most journalists in the industry like to work. But they dosn't seem all that bright, Giantbomb-people did a livestream, with short segments of the singleplayer-campaign of alot of launch-games - but none of the three (!) journalists in the quicklook-live stream reacted when Jeff claimed he didn't think the Vita had a microphone.
And there is a game in the Welcome Park-software wich have you yelling into the microphone,...
They spoke about 5 franchises, Motorstorm, Hustle King, and Top Darts, aswell as Wipeout and Marvel vs. Capcom DLC.
And it's a new thing that licenses transfer through platforms, so I guess we can excuse them not getting everything worded correctly at first try. :)
They clarified it in the comments on EU blog, I just checked. :) It's planned DLC coming to Wipeout 2048, wich will be free. :)
I'm pretty sure that it's the statement on the blogs wich is poorly worded.
I think it's a Wipeout HD/Fury-content pack, wich will launch as DLC for Wipeout 2048 on Vita - wich will be free for PS3-owners of the game, while those who only have the Vita-Wipeout 2048 will have to pay a minor sum.
That way people who invested in the tracks and vehicles once, dosn't need to pay twice.
I don't see them making another Wipeout-game a...
I've not liked a soccer-game, since Sensible Soccer on the Amiga.
But this version of Fifa have definately peaked my interest, with the new shooting and passing features.
Some factual errors in the review, about having to not having to rebuy PSP-titles with the Japaneese UMD-program.
That were allways the case, you just got a discount if you had the UMD-disk, and transfered the signature of the UMD- to the Vita.
If it dosn't offer it in Europe, wich I don't find likely, you don't have to rebuy your PSP-games either - you just won't get the discount for transfering the UMD-signature.
You don't have to rebuy digita...
Sweet, downloading now. :)
Nice that your game of the year awards started after the year were over. :) I'm rooting for Oddworld a late december-release for best PSN-game. :)
If you spend 20 bucks, and back up your memory-card on PC/PS3/Mac - and only buy games online at PSN.
You'll probably have earnt back cost of the memory cards at around 5 games.
I know it sucks initially, but atleast they push retail with lower prices than RRP on day one, with this device. :)
I like the sound of 'transfarring' better of the new phrases.
It sounds allmost alien, as it rolls of the tongue. :P
However 'cross play' and 'cross purchase' is cool aswell, and probably more informative.
