When I tried Virtual Reality back in the day, it where awesome.
But the price where too expensive, it where at a convention, we payed around 50 NOK (about 8-9 USD) for 5 minutes of a vector based first person shooter.
We had a headset-helmet (abit more clunky than what's on the picture) and a gun, with a extra walk button, and a round podium with fence wich we stood on.
It were pretty fun, even tough the technology weren't there.

I recall...

That Microsoft Game Studios employees who bragged so about having better first-party studios is crazy.

Both Sony and Nintendo have much more and better first party studios than Microsoft.
I think that Nintendo will need to expand most of their current studios tough, since they too will be moving over on better hardware.

Microsoft is more focused on one platform tough, but they still can't keep up with the competition in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure it's all of the above. :)

I don't have a problem with this in general, it's not right that devs/publishers get left out of the used game-sale revenue.

I hope however that they have some sort of trial-mode, with like 30 free minutes of online play or something like the 1-hour demos on PSN+, so people get too try the game and see if there is many players or not, before unlocking the multiplayer.

I also thin...

Journey is kind of an arabic localization of Tomb Raider.
There is strange letters, unrecogniseable speech, and clothed women. Just kidding, but I think he is definately on the right track with localization on games like Fifa, in middle east I think is very smart.

Codemasters should concider localizing Formula One, and Sega Virtua Tennis.. I know there are races and tournaments there, so I assume those sports are popular there. :)

It's not a ...

Yeah, I know.. :)
The various hardware-parts come from Japan, Korea, and China, and now allmost all consoles are assembled in China. :)

I don't think dropping Xbox is the way to go, it kind of sounds dumb asking frineds to come over playing on my Live Hub.. Why build the brand when you're not gonna use it?

I've allways found it abit funny that they didn't name Xbox 2 for Xbox 2, just because they didn't want to sound smaller than the Playstation, wich had a 3 in it's name.

I knerw this would pose a huge problem speculating in the future. If it were up to me I'd just call the next Xbox 'Xbox 3rd'.

I would also have put a huge red dot on the middle of the white cover on the console, that way we could trick the same people we tricke...

The game comes with free online play, so Sony is offering free online play. If you buy the game used tough, then someone else might have used the free online play wich originally came with the game.

Not as good as it used to be, but PSN just got a few billion dollar more expansive to run, thanks to various hackers. :-/

Both your examples are horrible. :-/

They were both more expensive right out of the box, since both Too Human and Two Worlds allready comes with online play deactiveted - even on brand new unused games - if you don't pay the yearly cost for the online-play on the console they are available for.

Dunno about PC-version of Two Worlds tough.

It's also peer-to-peer gaming, and not server-based multiplayer like the previous Resistance...

All new games comes with this.
I assume that if you buy the game used, it'll only cost like 5$ extra to get a new PSN pass for your used game, and it only affects the multiplayer.
They ran a test on a few PSP-games last year or so, it seemed to work fine. :)

It's there to make sure that the developers/publishers also get some money, and not only Gamestop, so I think it's OK.
Afterall, it's the developers who make the new games, and...

We argue because Valve, Sony, and Nintendo look at the competition, and when they see that Microsoft get abit more than half a billion dollar extra every year, simply by restricting one important features wich should be free from it's users, they will sooner or later start to concidering doing the same.

And then we sensible gamers wich shop elsewhere also have to pay. :(

Articlewriter is correct.
Everything on XBLive Gold dosn't have to be free, but online play should be free.

You pay full price for the games - if you compare with the other platforms (PS3/PC/Wii/PS2/PSP/DS) - but unless you pay extra half the game (online play) get's disabled.
It's ridickolous that people justify this, and claim that you get what you pay for, because the people shopping elsewhere get more.

While you do get so...

Just found the original interview on CVG.
As usual this article is the least interesting part of the inteview with statements taken out of content.

Lame that source didn't provide source.

He's right.
It's a different media of entertainment.
On the other hand, movies won't have what games got, a show like E3, where millions of people are getting excited for upcoming products. :)

And to be frank, I'm not sure if Twisted Metal PS3 would probably have been greenlighted in it's current form if someone else where making it.

Sony thrusts that Jaffe and Campbell can make a game gamers enjoy. But from the video...

Phil Harrison didn't say what the article-writer wrote.
He said that Apple were the ones who had grown most lately, and if the market continued the trend the last few years unchecked, they would come into a dominate position in the market.
But naturally, the current marketleaders will take steps to avoid that, especially as soon or if Apple starts to sell proper games.

I'm a PS3-owner.
I try to support new IP, looked at the game up to release but it just didn't look that great to me. Not much into multiplayer, more into big story.
I picked up Killzone 3 instead, it were cheaper, since it were a first party move-title aswell, and a game I were very excited for, and definately a game I were satisfied with. My second game at the same time were Motorstorm - Apocalypse, and third were Top Spin..
When those were played through I...

The hackers have shown their true alignment.
We consumers of Sony, Nintendo, Sega, CCP Games, Codemasters, etc. have no sympathy for them.
Let them all rot in prison, so we can play our games in peace. :)

I don't think the main problem is in families of six, they're probably used to sharing. :P

But it will be annoying to be the second kid stuck with the wii-mote, if the cool part of the game is playing with the new controller wich the biggest kid will hog, or vice versa.

So it is a problem. :P

Good coverage of the Microsoft conference, but not really much of a conversation when only one person watched the Sony press conference.
Should atleast have downloaded it afterwards, when you became awasre of it beeing on your agenda.
Didn't stick around for the last part.
