I were much more worried about the death of local multiplayer two years ago..
However after the new push for 3D, most of the new games seems to be getting it as a side-result..
With 3D you have to push two different images onscreen, one for each eye, and it's very much the same problem you're faced when creating splitscreen, you have to be able to stream/load two different sets of content onscreen at once.

You probably got disagree's because you said it were all about how it plays, and that how it looks were not worth caring about.
i.e. if you had to choose between Pole Position with C64-gfx, or Pole Position with PS3-gfx - you'd not care about the difference, because it played the same.
Proper exclusive games dosn't matter in the US anymore, when it comes to hardware-sales.
PS3 got two pretty good exclusives titles in LBP2, and DC Universe this month, and gets pretty good exclusives titles every month this year.
February is Killzone 3, and Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll, March is MLB 11: The Show, April is Motorstorm: Apocalypse, Yakuza 4 and Socom 4.
And still they sell 150 thousand less units than 360 wich I don't think get any...

So it focuses on all both handheld and regular console.
3DS might be fine and all (for little kids), but it's not a Playstation, and most importantly it's old news.
Besides I'm pretty sure that most of the PS3-owners are much more interested in the system wich comes with Killzone, Uncharted, LBP, etc. better than the system who comes with Mario.
Maybe if 360 would have HDD required, and had a long installs before the game, you could do most of the stuff wich Killzone 3 does. :-/
Unfortunately they don't, due to the fact that alot of people don't have HDD, so you won't see game-engines with 4 different streaming-engines working simultaneously on 360, like Killzone 3 do. :-/

- I didn't get much use of the CD, Demon's Souls has good atmospheric soundtrack, but it's not the same without the gamevisuals putting you in the right mood.

The Kinect and Move accessory is just that - it's only an accessory.
You'll still be able to play your new Uncharted, Infamous, Motorstorm, Assasins Creed, Killzone, Gears of war, FIFA, MAdden, Call of Duty, Last Guardian, etc, without taking advantage of any of the opportunities the motion-accessories offer.
To be frank, I think Wii 2 might be much farther off than anyone expect.
Alot of the Nintendo game-studios are probably much smalle...
I'm really looking forward to the Infamous sequel aswell. - It looks really awesome. :)

This isn't a PS3 fanboy, we PS3-fanboys are not dumb enough to propose to pay for online gaming, web browsers, and other stuff wich should be free. :)

I got 769.3 hrs in a singleplayergame called 'X3 Terran Conflict' on Steam, beeing sold for 19,99$, so that's pretty awesome value. :)
Computer crashed tough this weekend, so when I manage to fix it, I will have to start over.. :)
I think it's worth it. :) Even if you, like me just check in the PSN+ section every once in a while, and get's stuff you want. :-/

Well, to be frank, it's not hard to see why this ad where banned:
- It has a white dude smiling while beating up a black dude.
If it had been 2 white people, the ad would not have gotten the same attention.
Dosn't matter if you're racist or not, it draws the attention more.
Perhaps Sony did speculate in the extra draw to attention this gets, perhaps they didn't.. We'll never know.
