Herbs, limited ammo, puzzles, closed quarters, monsters, fear of the unknown; How is it not a return to its roots? Furthermore, not only did the very first Resident Evil have first-person elements (the front door cinematic, loading screens), but it was originally going to be first-person. The series has never been a stranger to the concept. I haven't been genuinely afraid of a RE game since the original. I love the traditional third-person game play as much as the next fan, but I want to ...
I agree. The time definitely needs to be increased.
"Share Play sessions are limited to one hour durations, so let’s hope the Story Mode won’t run over that limit!"
Even if it did, starting a new Share Play session doesn't impact the game.
I don't put much stock into metascores, but I do read a handful of sites just to get a general idea about a game I happen to be interested in. If I'm still undecided, I resort to YouTube and public opinion. Sometimes those are enough to convince me, one way or the other. There's also games I plan on buying no matter what (RDR2 woot woot!). Either way, I'm not deterred by something that scores below a 90. Some of the best games I've played were in the low-to-mid 80 range. ...
Vietnam is boring and WW1 is basically inferior to WW2. WW2 had so many theaters, it still makes for an interest story and experience. Not to mention we haven't had a proper WW2 game since last gen. Imagine what this gen can do with it.
Advanced Warfare successfully killed any interest I had left in COD. God, that game was horrible. Not even BO3 could pull me back in (BO1 and 2 being my second and third favorite games in the series, respectively). I think the only thing that will get me to care about this is if it's World at War 2.
FFVII appealed to a casual audience, myself included. That's why it has such a cult following. Anyone who remembers playing FFVII at launch can attest to all the hype surrounding it. In fact, it was a TV ad that convinced me to get it. I literally had never played a JRPG before. FFVII was like a gateway drug, as it introduced me to Chrono Trigger, FFVI, and so forth.
And that Aerith scene. Man.
I'm looking forward to RE7, Double Dragon 4, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle. Then Nioh and Horizon: Zero Dawn in Feb!
Most of the negative complaints seem to stem from those who haven't actually played it. On the contrary, I'd constantly hear people say how fun the game was in the game lobbies. That's what it's all about. Don't judge it based on looks. I won't lie, there were numerous bugs in the beta, but many of them were fixed. The car physics were also crap, but that's not a deal breaker for me, as you're literally only driving it for a matter of seconds.
The last Friday the 13th game was on NES, so I'll take what I can get. ;)
This game was crowdfunded on BackerKit and Kickstarter and has a budget of $1.2mil, so it is what it is. It began as a game called Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp before the original director of Friday the 13th came forward. While it would've been great to see this as a AAA title, I'm happy with what I've seen and played so far. It's really fun and intense. Tom Savini is involved (kill...
Overwatch is proof that you can still make a fun shooter that doesn't play at Mach speed.
@FITgamer
Thanks for the heads up. Out of the 7 games, I missed out on Rayman Origins when it was free back in August (I think?). Nice of Ubisoft to give everyone a second chance.
I thought the combat system was dull in the beginning. Then it started to get a little better, only to get dull again. It's too shallow. I also wasn't a huge fan of the magic system. While I'd prefer the turn-based combat system of old, I'm not against a combat system like this. I just think games like Dragon's Dogma have done it better.
That being said, I really enjoyed the game.
It's certainly optimistic, but not outside the realm of possibility. After a string of sub-par titles, Final Fantasy XV sold 5 million copies on day one. You also have to take into account the PSVR users who are itching to play this in VR.
You obviously haven't played Umbrella Corps.
1) I'm not a SJW. Try again.
2) It was a simple question. Did I stutter?
3) It's okay. I already downvoted you due to yours. Ciao.
People like you are the reason they have parades. When people stop making a big deal about it, so will they.
What are they ruining, exactly?
EDIT: Lol at the disagree without a response. Seriously, I'd like to know. We've come a long way since Mortal Kombat and the Hot Coffee mod, so I'd love to hear your explanation.
You wouldn't be defending this if it were an overly-sexualized male people were complaining about. You guys act like SJWs are the only ones who complain and act hypocritical, but who complained about "emo" Dante in the DmC reboot? Who complained when Capcom patched out Chun-Li's boob physics in SFV? Who complained about Watch Dogs 2 for having a minority as the main character? Who complained about a black soldier being on the cover of Battlefield 1? It goes on and on. I'...
I'm more afraid of a mentally ill white kid shooting up a school, church or movie theater than I am of an immigrant from any other nation. 9/11 turned this country into a bunch of pussies. Furthermore, the 19 terrorists in the 9/11 attacks were from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and the United Arab Emiratesban. None of those countries are effected by the immigration ban, so what's the point?
