GOW3 - phenomenal graphics.
MGS - at the time it was showing off the ps3 when People had their doubts about the machine
LBP - it was refreshing change of pace from all the shooters out there
Killzone - shut the doubters of the ps3 up. not only did they reach there E3 target render, some would say they surpassed it.

im not the type to buy a console because it has 2 awesome games that will blow your mind and not much else.
my decision this gen to buy a ps3 was based on the library of the ps2 compared to that of xbox.

the animation should be judged on the art style of the game. if its more "kid-based" characters, i wouldnt be so critical of the animation. im talking games like rachet and clank, sly cooper, spyro etc. <P.S i dont mean those games for kids only, i played em all but i take it you get my point>
games like Skyrim, GTA etc that tries to be "serious" in a sense should go for motion capture.

i dont know about others but a lot of people like open-world games. im not one of them. i prefer the old school linear type games. il give you a good exapmle, burnout. i preferred Burnout 3:takedown over burnout paradise. Paradise was a good game, had fun with it, but it didnt seem to have a structure to it.
Modern Warfare 3 is an Un-Game just like this article is un-journalism.
