if they make games worth the $60 people are paying for it, they will get their money.
uncharted, mass effect, halo, batman, etc are all franchises that sell well at $60 and they are all great, enjoyable games.
dont give us half-assed crap like condemned 2 and then bitch and moan when we buy a game like in a bargain bin or used.
if you gonna spend a big budget on a big game, make sure its going to be worth it for the people who are going to play...

theres nothing wrong with it. it gets to the point. the story has a start, the linear mode of the game gets you straight to the story and to the end. i suppose you hated uncharted for being linear.
open world games are not always fun. burnout was ruined by open world games. dont get me wrong, it was fun, i enjoyed it but compared to burnout 3: takedown, ...

but i know what you mean. a lot of top games are hard to get into. i know i found it hard to get into oblivion as well as the half life series. Those are games that were critically acclaimed but it just wasnt for me. not coz they FPS, just the whole story/universe of the game itself.
but uncharted is my fav games to play this gen.
what i hated about it was the positioning of the arms/camera in that game. either the character had arms for ears or it was a chest cam done wrong. killzone had a chest cam and it wasnt son bad. this game just gave me a headache. then there was the ridiculous story. cheap scares and how the heck can there be no jump? did they run out of buttons on a ps controller. just talking about this game is making me feel like breaking the disc

condemned 2. jeez that game sucked. so much wrong with it for me to like it. eventually i just gave it away to a friend - think he sold that POS.

microsoft figures if they can keep pumping out gears/forza/halo their core gamers will be satisfied. they really need to change that line of thinking fast or the core gamers that put the 360 where its at today will drop them hard.
to be honest, the hack didnt do anything for me. i was gonna hack my console but my research showed that prices of games would be the same as used game sales. with used games at least i know its legit and it works online and my console is still factory fresh. with CFW i didnt see that much of a reason to hack it. plus mine is the fat 60gig PS3 so aint no way ima chance it.
with respect to the year, AWESOME!! so many games so lil time.
still dont get the whole angry birds craze. downloaded it, played for like 3 days. found it intensively repetitive and just uninstalled it off my droid. it certainly isnt a tetris. thats for sure.
oh and to be as big as disney, you have to have more great franchises. seeing that they havent made anything as good as angry birds or anything else good for that matter says they gonna need a lot more.

the store only takes in used games coz they can make money off it. half the people i know are able to BUY NEW GAMES because they trade in their older ones and get a credit for it which they put towards buying the new game.
now take away used game sales, why would someone wanna trade in a game and get nothing for it. no trade in = no credit, no credit = no di...
