one way to avoid the PSV being hacked is to let the ps3 check for CFW on the vita if any pairing is required.
i know that not all people will be syncing their vitas to ps3s as some wont own a ps3 <yes im sure there are still millions without a ps3> but for those who have a ps3 this would kinda stop them.
for those without ps3s, im sure if the device is able to log onto the psn, it should do a check and force update the firmware.

uncharted, mgs, burnout, gow3, killzone, resistance, motorstorm, batman etc....too many to list.
but all of these games have really good single player and they all sold really well. so to claim single player is dying is ridiculous.

if its reptitive gameplay, less is more. <racing games are a major example of this> but then again theres Sims ala Forza and GT5 which are long as hell yet still fun.
and then theres story based games <uncharted, skyrim are examples> which you dont want it to drag on and on. so leght depends completely on how long it takes to tell a story.
