The biggest difference in this console generation is that Sony says things like, developers should add new content to multi platform releases since it is on Blu-ray, or we don't pay for exclusives. While MS is out there paying money to make sure there is extra content or that games are multiconsole or even exclusive.
If Sony tossed around some money and kept (or bought) even just a few titles exclusive like GTA or FFXIII or even RE they could have had 2nd place easy. Now they...
I knew that guy wasn't coming out just to announce 3 titles we already knew about. You have to hand it to MS, they are like a crafty boxer with an arsenal of attacks. They are hitting the JRPG market hard.
One headset away from VR.
Demos typically do nothing but convince me not to get a game I was on the fence about.
I believe on Monday it starts at 1pm EST and then the other days the times vary. I'm sure on Monday's shows they will mention the schedule a number of times.
I've got my TiVo set to record it all :)
That was a well stated response... bubbles.
That black Motus motion controller is actually for the PS3. The company is independently making the controller for both the 360 and the PS3. I don't believe either Sony or MS are using it or packing it in. I think it will just be a 3rd party controller that has some limited use in games that support it.
I can't last very long in Wii Boxing. Hope they don't make Punch Out so intensive. On the other hand, it does make for good exercise.
The animations really make it look all the more realistic. Instead of a 2 or 3 pose death animation, they fall and slump over and even twitch some. Brings alot of life to the game.
New PSP 3000. I would be surprised, it seems the slim just came out.
There's been a bit of a Renaissance for the PSP in Japan due to MH sales on PSP when it came out a few months back. I wonder if that has publishers gearing up for more PSP games in '09 and beyond, especially JRPG style games.
Give Disgaea 2 a try if you haven't already. It's got a bit more strategy depth to it then Jeanne D'Arc which is a great game too.
Looks like EA is putting up some goods. They take alot of slack and in some cases rightfully so, but Burnout Paradise, Mirror's Edge, Spore, Dead Space, Mercs 2, Bad Company to name a few are all good or potentially good games.
BTW: My daughter will love that Littlest Pet Shop game if it turns out just half decent.
Motus is an independent developer. MS isn't involved in the creation of the Darwin device. Motus developed motion control 7 years ago, but it didn't sell back then so they shelved it until the Wii took off. They still say the device will be out within the year which could still be a while yet.
They have a PS3 version as well that is black.
My guess is you will see Sony and MS with their own motion control as well as at least one third party (Motus) providing ...
They got a mulligan with Haze. Don't screw up this second shot.
The only noise I've been hearing about this game is from Dennis himself.
"I hope you will like this game"
"You will like this game or I will pwn you"
"If you don't like this game, you will pwn me"
"I hope you understand this game, I think people won't understand how great it is"
"I really, really like this game, I hope you do too"
"Why is everyone hating on our game, it will be great, just...
I agree. It's like Nascar being paid to move its racing circuit up to New England just to attract more tourists. All the fans will say, "Ah, I'll just watch golf instead."
I think the answer to your question has to do with alot of green paper coming out of Redmond.
Yes, because learning Japanese so you can play a game is such a practical endeavor.
Wonder how long of a delay there will be getting it ported over to the 360? It could be nearly a year after the Japan release before they localize and port it. Might be looking at 2010 before that happens and might even have the next XBox waiting in the wings.
