These media include video games. Her saying we need to end those media is her saying she wants to end videogames. Not so much explicitly but definitely implicitly. Agreed, its when sides are covered with a bias that allegations of gaming corruption start flying around.
gamer gate is complicated because the rage of the internet coupled with the limited vocabulary that rage causes muddies the message of a movement that contains many very differing opinions.
I believe the harassment from the movement is completely wrong and its ridiculous that people use gaming ethics as an excuse for that but to suggest an amorphous leaderless movement should only have followers who believe in a strict belief of what the movement represents.

I actually think the hateful voices against Quinn merely sparked growing tension the community was feeling over Anita sarkeesians critiques and how the gaming media in many cases took her side. Sure Quinn was where the flames started but she sure hasn't been the fuel for a long time.

Because if psn or xbl ever became unsupported you would lose access to those games if anything happened to your console (long term thinking) physical disks will always be accessible.
Think about how popular retro gaming is and how many people collect SNES games. When the current get becomes retro then digital content will be inaccessible and that's sad.
