It is really rather telling that 90% of the comments on this are from PS4 fan boys.
Quite simply 3 months sales is not anywhere near enough of an indicator to remove the Kinect even if the sales were poor which they are not.
The console is selling at record numbers, the game attach rate is excellent, and they are not selling the console at a loss.
There is simply zero reason to remove the Kinect.
Here is a scenario for you:...
Bubble for you for being a die hard;)
Haven't got mine yet. Hopefully it is coming soon.
@megazero12 have a blast.
Great news for Sony.
On another note I don't really see why anyone would be surprised. Availability of the PS4 was abysmal in the month of Dec. and it is reflected in the Jan. sales due to the fact that they managed to start restocking. If they hadn't outsold the X1 by a fair margin then I would be concerned.
I am not saying that these issues are real but the compact design of the PS4 and an internal power supply will most definitely create high temperatures and there have certainly been a small number of over heating complaints.
Here's a quote from an article that tested the heat externally with a FLIR camera. I will also provide the link.
"After 30 minutes of play, the top registers 45.5°C at its peak, while the bottom clocks in at 49.4°C. Fi...
"Nobody cuts back graphics or resolution just for fun. if they could have done better they would have .And by the way everyone who owns a 360 or a PC can play Titanfall"
Where exactly in my previous comment did I say that?. Can't find it? That would be because I did not say it.
Lesson for today children. When you read someone's comment please clear your mind of preconceptions. It is a good lesson to learn. Your preconceptions can impair...
@DJustinUNCHAIND Well said.
"The trees that look like they were made with a polygon budget of 4. None of that matters when you’re driving fast, but the point is that cutbacks had to be made to get it to that resolution,”
LOL. This guys speaks out of his ass. The point is not, "that cutbacks had to be made to get it to that resolution" The point is, "None of that matters when you are driving" Which is what you do in that game by th...
@BG11579
I am glad that you love them. I love your type of response too. The type that circles around my points but does nothing to counter them.
At least you admit the truth that Sony would have implemented the same DRM policies if not for the backlash that MS received.
You ignored the fact that Sony still uses DRM the same as any other company and that they actually promote it via patent licences and in their own hardware. More than th...
"This talk has been going on for years and is only getting louder. Now it's also coming from inside the company and from the top levels of the board. That's not to be dismissed, and don't for a second think that Xbox One's initial performance relative to the PS4 hasn't been noted as well."
Yes, you are correct it has been going on for years. Basically since the Xbox division was created. Which is another reason that it is very unlikely to happe...
The main issue that everyone seems to miss is that the Xbox Division makes money for MS. Is it in the black yet when you account for all of the investment dating back to the original Xbox? No, but it does make money now and has for years. In fact the Xbox will be in the black within 2 years at current earnings.
The Xbox has also become the flagship of the devices division. It is there spearhead for pushing further into the consumer realm. The reality is that MS knows that...
Hate to disappoint you but the PS4 is just as prone to online DRM.
Sony is well know for their DRM and have many patented DRM technologies that they use and license to others.
My first Sony Vaio came preinstalled from Sony with a DRM root kit on it that would not allow me to rip CD's and also reported back to Sony what I was listening too. There was a huge backlash over this. The only way to remove it was to format your hard drive and then reinstall a...
Actually he did another video and admitted that the dead zone was due to the lag with his TV. He did not put it into game mode and with some HDTVs if you don't use game mode it causes a perceptible lag in your controller creating the dead zone. I can't find the video now so it must have been taken down.
I personally have no issue with a dead zone on my controllers at all. In fact I found that I had to knock the sensitivity way down compared to my 360 controllers as...
I would not bother wasting my breath on the fan boys. You cannot speak logic to them, trying to go at it from an unbiased opinion makes zero difference to them either. If the author of this article doesn't like the game then that is really his issue. Whether he genuinely did not find it to be great or he is looking for hits to his article makes zero difference to those of us who are going to play and enjoy this game.
Bottom line they can't play it on their console ...
@mmj
"Expecting Xbox One to reach performance parity with PS4 is like expecting an obese person to match the speed of Usain Bolt after some time spent training. They can delude themselves all they want but it's physically impossible."
Don't delude yourself. The disparity will be much smaller than you think. Many people simply compare the GPU or ram and think that is all there is in rendering games. They are quite incorrect and here is why...
The biggest issue here is the multiplatform games. As in the last generation the easier to code for platform comes out of the gate looking the best for multiplatform games. Once the developers have more time to optimize and MS improves their SDK to make that optimization easier you will see more parity in the platforms.
Here is the developer in questions response to 1080p on Xbox One:
"Will the process become easier over time as understanding of the ha...
ROFL. First off there is zero brand recognition. Secondly we are talking about android here. It is a dying kindergarten OS. Its main success lies with the fact that it is free, it is from Google, and it has the shittiest app site ever. Finding a good app for android is similar to wading up to your neck through a black bog while trying to find the quarter you dropped in it.
For them to have any chance at taking on MS or Sony in the gaming sector they would need at least o...
I have a couple of thoughts on that.
First the IP belongs to Respawn not EA. They did sign an agreement with EA to publish the first installment and thus EA got to decide which consoles it was going to come out on. That being said Respawn was the one that decided that the game was a launch exclusive for MS. That was in fact due to the dedicated servers offered by MS. That was announced well before Respawn found out that the game was going to be completely exclusive to MS....
Not bad. Costco in my city had the Xbox One with two controllers and Ryse for $489 back in December. They sold all 50 units in the first 10 minutes. They still haven't gotten restocked.
I agree. The action in this game looks insane. I hope I get an access code.
LOL, there are two possible situations here:
1. They are the desperate Sony fan boys that they admitted to being and were running damage control out of bitterness and a need to justify their loyalty.
2. They are the desperate Sony fan boys that they admitted to being and someone knowing this used them like sacrificial lambs to the Sony gods in a vain attempt to put a lid on TitanFall and the huge hype the Xbox One and everything associated with it has been ge...
