Yes, both consoles came with too small a drive. That is what we get for being early adopters unfortunately.
Either way both console users will have to purchase hard drives or uninstall some games.
I personally don't mind using an external drive. I already use a 4TB external HDD with my HTPC. I currently have 2199 1080p movies and about 300 TV episodes in 720p that I can stream to every video display in my house and to mobile devices any where in the wo...
Provided TitanFall stays with EA there won't be a TitanFall 2 until 2017. According to EA BattleFront, BF, and TitanFall will be on a 3 year rotation. BattleFront in 2015, BF5 in 2016, and TitanFall 2 in 2017. They could always change the rotation though and Respawn could always just tell EA to go pound sand I guess.
I think that you are correct about the Halo 5 beta being in November 2014 but having a beta and then waiting for 10 months to release the full game in Sep...
The people on this site befuddle me. How can you get a disagree when you say those games interest you more? That is your world view of games and cannot be incorrect.
I personally prefer Xbox exclusives like Halo, Gears, Quantum Break, and TitanFall (yes, it is an exclusive if you want to play on console people!). I am correct too as those are what I want to play. I am also interested in Infamous and The Order but not as much so I will wait until I buy a PS4 late in the ye...
Well said. Someone with a brain finally. Bubble up.
"But when the discussion is native vs upscaled 1080.. Its not really noticeable unless zooming in on a static image, which you'll never do when gaming."
Well said again, but good luck with that argument here. Very few logical brain cells here at N4G. You will soon be down to 2 bubbles like me if you keep that up LOL.
I agree partially. The cost is the main issue here but your comparison with graphics cards is not correct. Consoles are not just graphics cards anymore and have not been for a while now.
The bottom line for MS is that they need to show that the extra $100 is for something relevant and not to just core gamers. For the core gamers they need to provide games which they seem to be doing at this point. Where they have not succeeded thus far is in showing the other stuff that w...
Stupid article. What exactly is the point of this. We all know that the GPU is faster and thus will render faster. That is not the issue. The issue is that neither console will render 4K in games other than Pong and Tetris.
This article is similar to arguing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. What is the answer? It does not matter.
The VR headset is a waste of money that Sony could have spent producing some games for the quality console they have on the market.
VR is niche and will be niche until they can plug every sense you have into it. Tripping around a room trying to use VR will not become mainstream and thus not be a money generator. It is nothing more than a gimmick that they hope will move more consoles by saying it is an option.
Full motion gaming with the Kinect is also a gi...
"This is why I think they should come clean about the 50% difference"
Go get your computer engineering degree and come back and say that. The difference is far less than you think which is why they will not admit it.
You simply cannot just compare GPU to GPU or memory to memory or CPU to CPU. There are different buses, clock speeds, discrete processors, etc.
Hell the WiiU can display at 1080p. What he says means that the develope...
Nope, many sour fan boys have been trolling TitanFall and positive Xbox articles night and day saying it is nothing but COD with bots and the Cloud is a joke.
That was the smoothest Beta I have every played and the servers worked like a top. They had their one glitch early on which was exactly what the Beta was meant to find. After that it was smooth as butter.
Some, not all but some PS4 fan boys just hate the fact that Sony dropped the ball and did not get...
@pyramidshead
LOL, you are the disgusting hypocrite here. Pure denial of the changes made to Infamous just to maintain 30fps at 1080p. Take a look at this video starting at 1:57 and you will see.

I happen to have owned every console released starting with the Atari 2600 with the exce...
There will not be a large gap and what there is now is shrinking. 1080p is the top end buddy. Once the Xbox gets there and it will, it has already started moving that way with the first SDK improvement then they will both be at 1080p and they will go no further as they don't have the power to render 4K. So in 12 months your vaunted gap will be gone and you will still be waiting for games to arrive by the looks of it. Infamous SS with most of the effects shown at E3 dropped and running ...
I have to disagree on that one. VR will never be more than a niche product. Don't get me wrong but VR head sets have been the supposed panacea for gaming for the last 35 years. They are great for expansive worlds that all you do in is explore but they are not that great for AAA games where you do a lot of fast movement like FPS games. On top of that about 1 in 4 people who use them get quite literally sick to their stomach. Not exactly a good selling point. Sony IMO would be far wis...
@deadfrag
@Software is bang on the money here. You can thank hacker douche bags as usual for screwing things up for the rest of us.
I think that it is inevitable that there will be preloads but not yet.
@u got owned
I don't think it would be the end of Halo but it would be a serious blow to 343's credibility with the franchise.
I agree that they need to set the bar high though and achieve it. The campaign for Halo 4 was good but the MP was not good. As you say they need to stop chasing COD and go back to what made Halo 2 and 3 so much fun online. It needs to be simplified so that the game is open to everyone and not just the hardcore crowd that pl...
Tell that to the people who invested in the 360 last gen. The 360 supposedly had 1/3 the horsepower of the PS3 and its Cell processor.
Early in the gen the console is the driver due to core gamers who are early adopters and willing into live without a lot of choice in games just because it is "their" console but within a year the games start driving console sales as the casual market takes over. The casuals buy the console that plays the games they want.

Highly unlikely. The sales of this game will be much higher than Ryse. It will be in demand for some time to come.
@The_Whispering_Eye LOL. Smoke another one.
Sony was given the opportunity to have this game at the same time that MS was.
Sony did not offer the server support that Respawn needed. They certainly did not own the server base required and most likely did not feel that paying for the leasing fees of a huge amount of servers was worth it.
They gambled that the game would not be that relevant and lost. If anyone is to blame for Sony not getting this game on the PS4 it is Sony.
If I o...
Yeah, I have been had a gold membership since Xbox Live launched and have never been selected for Beta updates. I would love to get them though and provide feedback. Too bad you can't volunteer.
I know. I just had to say it though. Ah I remember the innocent days of the internet. Back before Google or search engines in general. 14.4 Kbps dial up. Now those were the days. LOL.
Their sales are not bad they just look shitty compared to the massive amount of PS4 consoles sold so I don't think that they need to have it out this year to move consoles. Halo 2 Anniversary if done right (i.e revamped online MP on the Xbox One only) could move a lot consoles on its own. There is a lot of nostalgia for that game.
@aiBreeze Respawn definitely owns the IP but no of us know what kind of contract they signed with EA. Was it for one game or more? I sure d...
