No it is not.
It is actually hitting the market with a better attach rate for it with 4K than when HD became the thing for gamers. Same story was said about 1080p TVs when PS3 and Xbox 360 hit the market.
I own both and I disagree with point being made.
The opening paragraph alone shows the direction the author is taking with his spiel.
"The Xbox One X is the most powerful console to ever hit the gaming market. Its specs are unrivaled. But looking at it as a purchase, is it worth it? There are no exclusive games for it (nor are there any planned), and while some games are now somewhat optimized for the system, they were still built with the original X...
What does single player or multiplayer have to do with microtransactions? You seem to suggest single player games don't have huge amounts of microtransactions too. Asura's Wrath even put their real ending as a microtransaction.
This article uses an old June 2017 article from ars that was updated less than a week later after MS confirmed their info was hugely incorrect. https://arstechnica.com/gam...
And yet they still report in April of 2018 the bogus reporting from 2017 that was long ago updated. How does this type of article get approved? PATRICK ANDERSON is obv...
Nope... Japan has long past dropped out of being even considered a needed region when coming to sales. EU has stepped up and grown into its own beast of competitive nature. Japan has simply fallen to the way side. Even PS4 has shown to not care on the market base there.
FYI... before you read, none of the titles have really any similarity to A Way out at all.
@LawlessSXE - well let me be one of the many to step up and let you know that as a review your method of grading said review has failed and as a gamer I will not be reading or participating in your little gimmick review system.
"Is it because it is free?" - yes, seriously EVERYONE it is because it is free.
Actually the main user base is adult. Especially so in Japan. So your point?
FarCry 5 says high. RDR2 will say hi later this year. Gamers are openly loving and looking forward to open world games.
@Xenophon_York - nope 69 is in the average category. It has 2 negative reviews, 14 positive reviews and 35 mixed (average) reviews.
I want an animal that actually protects me when I am being attacked. Not wait for me to be downed so he can lick me back to life.
Though obviously not a good enough boy to get to ride in your vehicle.
@D3TH_D33LR - You can sink a ship also and the treasure will follow the tides to wherever they take them. The sea is actually cloud generated and is the exact same on all people playing in that server. This way when a wave takes your ship in the air the other crew will see the exact same movement of waves and ships. Very demanding, much more so than just regular interaction on land that does not move.
"First-party new IP" obviously is pointing at the IP itself being owned by Microsoft. It does not include new IPs that are owned by a second party that are simply exclusive on Xbox at the time.
From the reading of the statement they are not inserting AO material into the game but instead simply adding some stuff that got removed when they were trying to have it pass AO.
As example if say a Pizza delivery guy scene was removed completely due to the AO rating potential they might later go back and add it minus the AO specific encounters. So people shouldn't get their hopes up for AO material... likely the pizza is the only thing hot in the added material. ;)
Looking at the clips in the article I am getting a sense of controlled ability to be on the ground and interacting with anyone that is not scripted? I see vehicles moving under neath but not seeing really any option to land in a crowd or street and interact with said vehicles unless maybe scripted to do so.
I have to assume that feeling is not accurate and that you will actually be able to roam the streets and get at least a GTA V type of population interaction with AI?
