"...emphasizing that the presence of mouse and keyboard can be detected," - only via direct supported boards. Keyboard systems that work through controller are still not able to be detected.

Not even that... RE4 is not even the best of the RE series in many opinions.

Point being that many games NEED to have an ending. They need to have a conclusion that makes playing the game feel worth the time put into it. Adding to a game through its lifespan for sure is a great thing but you need to keep that ultimate game ending experience that many games seem to lack these days.

The entire 'keep players playing' without the included give gamers a good story from beginning to end is going to be the bane of games in the near future.

"It does appear that the next-gen Xbox will be a family of systems rather than just a single unit like we’re used to." - point being that we never are used to just a single unit in any generation. We simply expect a different unit model later down the line.

What sounds like the case is offering up the units at the start of the generation giving choices to consumers. where the difference in systems will be focused on graphical performance and not any difference in...

For every person that loves the building portion in Fortnite there are 3 others that don't.

Fortnite is popular because it did PUBG and actually got the guns to kill, the textures that load, character progression, challenges, humorous emotes, character skins that aren't simply found in loot boxes, and is FREE!

With that said I have often thought of ways they could reduce the egregious use of building shields in combat. Possibly areas of change lea...

@Goldby - Your "Hellblade has sold more that Sea of Theives
hellblade sold more than state of decay 2" is just factually so wrong it is laughable. In NPD May topped the chart above God of War and Detroit. And both titles you said sold worse that Hellblade sold more and actually outperformed expectations themselves.

I know right... it debuted at #3 on the NPD right behind 'State of Decay 2' and 'God of War'... not like people put it in a long list of exclusives that showed that Sony was bringing the heat this year. Wait.... or did they say 'State of Decay 2' was going to be a failure and 'Detroit' was the game that was setting new bars for other games? I can never remember from day one to day two.

Uhhmmmm... he was scouted by Epic to help them on their cloud program. Obviously not a bad thing.

Everyone commenting on 'Save the World'... come on people you could make that part free and people wouldn't care. Fortnite is all about the FREE Battle Royal... anything else is... meh.

@timotim - maybe you should learn to comprehend what you yourself are reading. Note that the items you even quoted have asterisk beside them. A single asterisk for "*No digital sales included" and a double asterisk for "**No PC digital sales included". Now let me educate on what these are... they are specific notes that identify when a particular item falls under these criteria. Only 6 of the games on the top 20 have the identified asterisk beside them. None of the top 4 h...

@zivtheawesome - incorrect... NPD with games and consoles counts units sold, not revenue.

2771d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

@timotim - that is incorrect. NPD has been tracking digital sales for some time now. These numbers do in fact include digital sales.

From what I see with games and consoles NPD counts units sold. Not sure where you and others are getting the idea it is revenue. As it never shows a dollar amount from what I have seen.

@generic-user-name - "Sony selling more consoles means more market share..." True that as does Play Anywhere titles ensure more market share for Microsoft.

The author mistakenly surmises that the creatures themselves are the 'Death Stranding" when in fact the narrative points more to the 'Death Stranding' being an event that caused the world to be in the state in which it has become.

But what should we expect from someone that use "Brah" in his article?

Correct...as a person that buys a lot of games compared to average gamers and has Game Pass, I find myself possibly spending more on DLC for games I do not actually own but do not purchase a game unless I see it is a game I frequently play and it is being removed from Game Pass. (which has been zero titles for me to date)

Only real pull it has is for people that come across a deal with added value above what they have with the game that warrants a purchase of a game on Gam...

Point being though that the idea is the tail wagging the dog. It is more that invested gamers who buy a lot of games will tend to also invest in game pass. Nothing shows that game pass is causing the added purchase of games.

Now if you can show that gamers that opted into Game Pass are now purchasing more games versus when they didn't have Game Pass well then you might have a correlation.

Note: I have Game Pass... I still purchase the same amount of ...

@BeardedDrachen - why not? That would be like you yelling fire in the middle of a theater when no fire existed and then say... "Jesus. Don't crucify the messenger."
