"The Kyoto, Japan-headquartered company said sales of the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games for the Nintendo Switch surpassed 10 million units in the first three days since their global launch on Nov. 18."
"many of [Sony's first-party games] are of better quality" note... many does not mean ALL. Simple as that. Sony has some great games for what they are. Xbox the same. But for sure they never claimed Sony's games are all better than Xbox games. Just that they have actually made some games that are really good.
Right. I mean if Sony is only relying on COD for their FPS competing with other consoles then they are NOT competing. Simple as that. Sony has so many IPs that they can bring back and compete with FPS gaming like COD. I mean they just purchased Bungie did they not? Can they not of the many developers they own put together a team that can bring the likes of Killzone, Resistance, Haze even. Any of these IPs can be brought back with a great team behind them. And any could offer competition in th...
Prior to Phil coming around Xbox was though to be dead. Now Sony is complaining because they think they can't compete with Xbox.
Game Pass has became a huge phenomenon that neither side of the console war can stop talking about. Nor can the media stop talking about how good it is.
Series S|X far showed better growth than the Xbox One of last generation.
Cloud gaming is being talked on from a point where it was thought simply as a ...
They literally said it in the article synopsis that last December they reached said sales. "This is the best week for PS5 sales since the week ending December 25, 2021, where it sold 516,118 units."
"Obviously, neither Xbox or Sony can replicate COD. That's why MS is spending $70b on the biggest tech deal in history." ~ it has already been pointed out that 75% of ABK earnings are PC/Mobile related and the real reason behind even thinking of purchasing of ABK by Microsoft. Any thought it is simply because of CoD is ignorant at best.
Sony will NOT be manufacturing 2 million PSVR 2 in the first month. Not sure if you imagine PSVR fairies are making these things? lol
So basically expecting over 10% of their user base to purchase PSVR 2. That\s some very high expectations right there. PSVR was selling at about 5% at 2020 PS4 user base numbers.
Basically people that can't act given direction to make something up on the spot. Kind of exactly the feeling of metaverse as a whole.
@VenomUK - too soon? lol
He has stated that from the beginning. 75% of ABK earnings are from Mobile/PC. Anyone imagine they paid $70Bn for 25% revenue focus is ignorant of business. Sure the console part is not chicken feed but it isn't what earns ABK their networth.
Except the propensity to include only a CD key on a disk becoming too much a common practice now.
I've had to to change my settings due to the amount of SPAM accounts trying to contact me on a regular basis. Hucksters will always seek ways to ply their trade regardless the medium.
"But long-term consolidation is usually a bad thing because once you have sufficient control, you start wanting to control costs, and it means typically creativity goes down, risk-taking goes down." ~ point being he completely ignores the business principles Microsoft has given their developers where big developers are ran as a separate business. Bethesda and Mojang are examples of Microsoft giving the reigns to developers to make money as they always have. Mark simply ignores Micro...
Until current gen systems can be manufactured to meet demands then the idea of simply completely leaving last generation behind is ignorant. You can't simply cater to only the 25% of your base that was able to purchase a next generation system. Once supply meets demand then you can start talking about leaving the last generation in the past.
Then don't play 'em. Same could be said of FPS, Platformers, Fighters, Survival, Single Player Solo, Battle Royal, etc, etc, etc. It's not like there aren't available new titles of every genre to play.
I think this shows that Sony 1 year deals in the past aren't long enough to deter those from waiting to play a game on another system. Are we likely to see longer 2 year deals in the future? Seems like Sony has gone out of their way to highlight the fact this exclusive is longer than their usual timed exclusive deals in the past.
I think 'Deathloop' and 'Ghostwire: Tokyo' were both expected to be bigger draws but inclusion in Game Pass after 1 year seem...
Good pitch men doing their jobs.
"God of War Ragnarok sold 5.1 million copies in its first week (five days) of release, making it the fastest-selling first-party launch game in PlayStation history, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Santa Monica Studio announced."
