Yet another journo that spouts the myth that Series S is holding back Series X games. All while touting in the same section God of War: Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Forbidden West, and even directly comparing Spider-Man: Remastered PS5 versus PS4 version of Spider-Man. Guy hasn't a clue what he is talking about and just repeats what he has heard from fanboys.
And then he makes claims of the Series X being "less important" because of games being availabl...
Well seeing that less 3 million people are subscribed to the PS+ deluxe tier(premium I assume is what you meant as there is no deluxe tier subscription) I have to imagine nobody is aware of said 'PS5 best deal in gaming' value.
"And of course for MS to actually release some games" - by all accounts from Sony fans Xbox released absolutely nothing in 2022 while PS5 dropped their big titles. Still having Xbox being competitive with PS5.So to imagine Xbox actually having the reported game haul that is expected and not close ground on PS5 is simply closing one's eyes.
Sony pays to keep major 3rd party games away from the competition. Again, not illegal. Only when it gets to the point of a non-competitive nature does it pass into a realm of FTC interference. And FTC has done nothing to prove the point that it has as Sony will still have the competitive advantage and market share over COD being purchased.
None of that states they don't know the "release date" as suggested by the article.
"truth of the allegations concerning industry perceptions of Call of Duty and Call of Duty’s original release date" they are not deny knowledge of release date. They are denying knowledge of "allegations concerning industry perceptions" in regards to original release date. How is that hard to comprehend? He actually made an article about him misreading something. lol
People imagine such things are reflective of investment returns when they do little but add hype to a fanbase. The records being broken by GOWR for launch and such are very minimal in earning return. After its initial weekly sales number which was very good we have heard very little from Sony on how the game is continuing to earn money. Nothing points to anything long lasting in terms of earning returns.
Sony is still focusing on their bread and butter business plan and do...
No... it's not.
Microsoft literally explained why certain titles will be exclusives and why other (like COD and Minecraft) will not.

And yet not a single mention of Babylon's Fall...? *cringe*
Biomutant is a great game. Have zero clue what you are going on about it?
Sony: 'Microsoft is buying up developers and not allowing any games to come to PS services.'
Also Sony: 'Fallout 76 coming to PS Plus Essentials.'
lol
"That means that Xbox fans have been contacting the CMA much more" ~ that then would mean that Xbox fans are more invested in the situation. Can't blame Xbox fans for PlayStation fans not voicing reasonable discussion on any concerns they might have. Especially in a PlayStation centric market region.
Often some 3rd party will wait for an announcement to Game Pass. Depending on what their marketing for the platform is directed towards at the time. We would likely have to wait until closer to release before seeing any Game Pass announcement if any for this title.
"you know the service they played down to Sony just a little while ago." you mean the service that Sony hyped up just awhile ago? lol
Point being many devs are looking at short term payouts versus issues with long term ramifications. Betting that any future changes to their distribution will not be handicapped by the other side. Putting the two competitors in question against themselves for their own payout at each venture point.
"If this was just about money, Microsoft can easily outbid Sony for 3rd party exclusives. There has to be something other than money at play here." ~ yes obviously. There is 'business plans'. Microsoft knows they aren't going to compete with Sony by using Sony's tactics. They have their own business plan which is simply shoring up their dev teams and access to their offerings via other methods. Methods that Sony does not like as well their fanbase. Microsoft has only...
Note this is not just Microsoft... both Sony and Microsoft are looking at same path. Wow... go figure. https://www.theverge.com/20...
Microsoft is looking to ad it as a service for developers to earn money while not having to go directly with only microtransactions on such free games. Sony is still developing their plan and is pondering the idea of tak...
I guess you are not familiar with subliminal advertising and simple placement ads?
Odd that he specified 'Game Pass Ultimate' instead of just 'Game Pass' just so he could include a relatively weak choice comparably in 'Alice: Madness Returns' which is available with EA Play. SoD was a far better overlooked game to have listed.
