My son and I are completely loving the game. The reviews pre-launch don't reflect anything like what we have been playing? glitches? Where? Haven't seen really anything yet of glitches. And this is before the 16GB patch that just dropped.
Except your take on the argument only makes it more so a point that Game Pass support is a good thing. As this is a good figure even for a 3 year old (2 years old on Xbox) title. Had it received the support of Game Pass day 1 then likely its revenue earnings would have had much larger accumulation. Though in hindsight a resurgence of the game in the market is also a viable look to their approach here.
Well technically that first party IP Deathloop (which Sony paid for 1yr timed exclusivity) is dropping onto Game Pass at the end of Sony's exclusivity contract which is September. Though Microsoft can't say anything about it at all until the end of that contract. Those playing the console war game might want to watch out for 2023. Doesn't look to favor Sony in the least.
"Fool's folly" is trying to make this argument for the company that is cutting off its own legs at every turn.
None of that matters for DS. If Sony gave away PC publishing rights to someone else then nothing they can do about it.

Where was this argument with Minecraft? It obviously out performs them all yet not a peep. Why?
Difference being that Microsoft assured that COD would remain muti-platform while Sony pays for games like FF7 to not appear on competing systems. Obviously any earnings will go to Microsoft and devs can make games that are not multi-platform... but we aren't arguing over new IPs are we.

Game Pass does not prevent you from purchasing any game you want to play. And you can play game before purchase and buy games you like at a discount price or simply later when the game has gone on sale. Options.
There is simply a glitch that is preventing many players from accessing the game. Some who had access before and others that simply can't start the game since launch.
None of that matters if a large group of people still can't even play the game.

Depends on the type of game. Many games you can come back to and simply play from where you left off with little loss of "momentum". Others maybe not so much. For sure most multiplayer games are an easy return and play... where at best you need a couple refresher games in to get your skills back. Story driven games you can still play in short increments but would likely need to revisit it after a few days to keep your story fresh in your head. (little different than watching a TV se...

As expected as they have not really launched any games in 2022 compared to 2021.
Game sales have zero to do currently with console sales as both PS5 and Series S|X sell out as soon as they hit stores. The ONLY thing dictating console sales currently is manufacturing. The only way Sony can widen the gap is if they manufacture more PS5s. Simple as that.
