PS5 has a harder time going from PS4 to PS5 than does Series X from Xbox One to Series X. Just the nature of the beast. These are last gen versions of the game. Native versions of game will not find the same issue for PS5 that is found with BC.

With that said 'Returnal' is a current gen game not dealing with BC issues and it can't even reach 4K natively.

Disney shut down LucasArts and "shift(ed) LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model". they did not sale off assets. While Lucasfilm Games has since resurfaced.

BC mode. We have yet to find out what native game support will offer. Many are hoping a performance mode 1440p/120fps for Series X when we see the native version running on it versus the BC version we have seen already.

What? Not sure what the "60fps" is referencing as the discussion is on native 4K?

@Eonjay - there is no patch coming down for PS5 and Series X. They will simply be native versions of the game for current systems. Versions now on the market are PS4 and Xbox One. We do not yet know if the current versions will be 'smart delivery' or a separate cost aside from last gen versions? I would assume the prior but have not heard anything definitive from Nordic.

@Pricey many games have sold more on Xbox than on PlayStation though PlayStation has held the larger gamerbase. And with so many PlayStation users slighting the game then why would they not focus equally as much on the gamerbase that is not bad mouthing them because PS5 has an issue with BC?

You are missing the point being made. We have nothing showing that 'Bio Mutant' is any less in any department. Point being made is that one game is specifically being called out for not having Native 4K while currently only being BC to PS5. While the other being praised across the board does not even have the BC issues and is exclusively next gen and can't hit Native 4K but not having any call out for not being Native 4K.

I like how when something like this goes down the first thing people start assuming is that the game assets are going to be sold off. Like... 'they can't possibly want to keep their assets in house, they got to sell them off.' :)

Less cartoony than Ratchet & Clank. Graphics look great. Has a 'Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden' vibe to it in terms of characters.

'Returnal' 4K Image is Upscaled from 1080p and getting lauded as a Triple-A experience. 'Bio Mutant' 4K Image is Upscaled from 1080p and being hated because it can't reach 4K native via BC on PS5. What am I missing here?

Little different than if Walmart was selling fake Nike brands in their stores. You hit the suppliers. In this case it is the App stores that are giving the game large sales market.

Nope. Always hit the big guys that are giving the game the market space. At minimum they get the game removed from the App to start and then they go for more.
