Not technically. We have had some games removed at shorter than 6 months period. GTA V as example was in GamePass for only 4 months.
@waverider - Series X has the 100Gb velocity architecture that allows immediate access to what Sony is hoping to get from just their SSD. https://www.neogaf.com/thre...
Last "gameplay video" I really cared about was for "Anthem"... that gameplay video really sold me on the game. And then the game came out and wasn't even close to the gameplay they presented to us. Sooooo... "gameplay videos" for me at least have been already tainted by one of my most anticipated titles that to this day falls flat.
Nope. Xbox One X and GamePass is the perfect quarantine machine. Hands down.
Seriously... virtually a single demo shown here of Unreal Engine and people are following out of their seats because it had PS5 associated to it. The hypocrisy of the entire thing is just ridiculous. Anyone thinking this single demo was some how more than what Xbox offered in their showing is simply fanboying hard.
Absolutely zero reason to imagine they wouldn't. Games in question share same save files and simply are made to play on both systems. The idea of a separate attached purchase system based on what Xbox system you are playing the game on is ridiculous notion.
MS never once said that all games would have smart delivery. They have always only pushed the idea of first party with some 3rd parties also opting in.
Psst... Sony hasn't even shown their system yet. So even bringing them up in this conversation is a farce as they haven't even stepped up yet.
@darthv72 - watch the video again. The AC V is not part of the gameplay showing that they were showcasing. It came after they had finished that segment. It was simply an added video of game in progress. Stop trying to make drama where there is none.
@SpaceRanger - you are messing your numbers up. Switch is not at 100+ million. That is PS4. Your point between comparing vs switch or Wii U would be a 14mil vs 52mil comparison. You erroneously tossed in PS4 numbers in your point.
Wii U was last gen... what are you trying to point out?
This is a company that is completely clueless about their player base or are simply trying to white wash the real situation.
FYI... downloads to a free game doesn't come close to mattering as much as retention of players. Making the point of how many people have downloaded your free title in answering the question of why people are seen to be leaving is simply the old... 'but look at this' slight of hand.
The new Legend addition will surely ...
"We feel the man is an absolute genius!" - seriously every time i hear stuff like this I cringe. Sounds so Trumpesque or when people talk about that idiot Elon Musk that is famous because of the people working for him.
Note, the latency is not comparable to other services of the kind as reported by Beta users. Also, included is a free option to stream from your Xbox to any device that the Xbox is connected to via the router in your home. This will be even less lag than that of any internet xCloud service.
Heads up. It is FREE with Game Pass Ultimate. No added fee will be required. Spencer has already committed that Game Pass pricing will not change in the near future.
In terms of the options being talked with Game Pass versus competitive Sony PS Now option... Game Pass is destroying that service... hands down.
If you are talking complete market or end companies then we can go there. Sony won't be winning that final end comparison.
Game Pass is pulling in a 1/5 user share rate versus the similar streaming option Sony has offered that is showing a 1/100 user share ratio. Game Pass has been on the market for less half the time PS Now has been on the market. Game Pass is pushing 10 million user base while PS Now is just over 1 million. If you imagine that isn't shaking up the game industry then maybe you are playing cards?
Notice that Phil Spencer never said anything about price in his statement. The 'on pricing options in the future' part was added by the site and not anything Phil Spencer spoke on with Game Pass. We already know a non-Game Pass stand alone option will be available at a price to come later. But at no point has Spencer ever announced an added payment for Game Pass. Only people suggesting it are PS Fanboys and little more. And Phil has already came out and said their Game Pass service wi...
PS Now has a 1/100 user base ratio. Only about 1 million users buying into it. How are you even comparing it to Game Pass with a 1/5 user base ratio and currently at 10 million... with far less time in the market even.
Only way Sony makes PS Now as popular as Game Pass is to stop with their ridiculous short periods of availability of AAA games on the service (often just a week or two at best) before being taken off. And they need to include first party franchises day one l...
"Once all that was agreed upon it was a no brainer decision when you look at all the benefits Scorn will get from this partnership, from additional resources to much bigger exposure(marketing)" - either Sony did not show an interest in them or did not meet the concerns of their development plan. Microsoft obviously gave them a better chance to hit both PC and Console while having backing from a large company to do so, with the freedom included in their deal.
