Spencer has already pointed out Game Pass service has doubled year over year. So adding even more benefits to it can't likely reduce the trending market of it.

Yep... discovered this when fixing my drift issues with Xbox One controller. Guy said many of the internal components come from same suppliers.
Not that easy depending on where you live. Policy in my region is that a controller being returned has to be sent back by store to the factory and then determined if an issue exists or not fixed and returned. I did this twice with separate controllers brand new from the store one came back saying no defect found (though there was still clear drift issues) and the other came back repaired but again had drift issues in less than a weeks time from being repaired. For those saying "I have never had an issue"... you are lucky. Simple as that. I have had no less than 8 controllers with drift problems and had to have each fixed. Even when getting new replacement parts put in we tested them and they failed too. It is an issue from supply source and simply not cared to be managed by Microsoft.
It is not assigned to simply one type of controller either. I have had my older Halo controller go tits up as well SoT controller, XB1S ...

Microsoft receives revenue from 3rd party purchases including DLC, in game purchase, and direct game sales. Developers that are bringing their already released games onto Game Pass are showing on average a 6x sales increase and are most definitely earning more than they could by not being on game Pass.

That was a long time ago where the Ultimate deal started... those of us that partook back then for the most part are still here a year later. My first offering was a free 3 month ultimate with no hidden requirements. After the 3 months it was simply done. Not sure what currency you are quoting here? Game Pass is basically $10 a month PC or Console with $15 a month for Game Pass ultimate. There are introductory pricing but the idea they are as prevalent versus regular subscriptions is less likely seeing the year over year growth.

Really? They had full backing and support of Microsoft on this project. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden had a smaller newer team than Gears Tactics with less Microsoft involvement. It came out on PC and Console day one and even appeared on Game Pass day 1. And yet Microsoft can't manage to make a franchise game appear on its own console at the same time after 4 1/2 years in production? Fail.

@sinspirit- there is zero talk from MS of adding a new subscription process to Game Pass to cover the xCloud service coming to it. It has only been marketed as 'coming to GamePass'... not 'bundled with GamePass' or some other myriad of fictitious plans you might simply create from your mind.

I have traveled most everyplace around the world and Xbox presence, though not as large as PlayStation, is still very well known. Even Japan gamers know what Xbox is regardless the small presence in the country.

Also, the options coming to Game Pass will include direct streaming of games from your Xbox to any device in your house connected to your router.
