Maybe in Arkansas.
Most CC's in parts of the country where people take classes run at least $60 per credit hour. Most also have decent security that won't allow just anyone to walk in for safety reasons, and most (this is the most important part) would cost you more in gas than wiifit in just a few months if you went 3-4 times per week.
Unfortunately, none of the game industry initially prices games based on whether or not they're crap. You'll still pay $60 for a crap game on the ps3/360 at launch.
The upside is that the great wii games are still $10 cheaper.
That's hilarious. :p
Pics?
How are workout videos different than Wiifit?
"You know what buy whatever you want..."
See... now that's an enlightened attitude. :)
Keep in mind that Firefox 3.0 is on Beta4 RC1. That's far, far more developed than IE8 Beta 1 which is just barely out of Alpha.
Posting this from Safari, btw.
Thanks, man.
I think it'll get worse before it gets better though. There'll always be someone who claims purity when a piece of software that's not in their interests comes along. It's fine to not like it, but you still have to compete. I really doubt that Wiifit is cannibalizing Valkyria Chronicles sales. As such, why would he be sad that someone's buying software that they find interesting/amusing?
I think being overly concerned about it is sad.
And your mom and sister should drop kick you for suggesting they spend $2k each at Bally's.
1. Not everyone has the money for a gym membership.
2. Not everyone that has the money wishes to spend it in that way.
3. The alternative of getting out and jogging doesn't work in:

Looks like Mozilla developers have actually patched a ton of memory leaks with 3.0. So that's a good thing. I'd disagree about the RAM thing though. If I'm browsing and multi-tasking to photoshop at my job, I don't want Firefox taking resources that other, more vital programs could be using, regardless of whether I have 16gb of RAM or 256mb.
As for the article. I could care less if 8.0 is boring. What we need is a browser that Joe User uses by default that doesn't break the entir...
Wiifit is software.
I think people are a bit confused. Are consoles now entertainment multimedia hubs or are they game machines? Or are they both? Many or most would posit that they, in the case of the 360 and PS3 (to a lesser extent, the Wii, as it has some media center properties) are both and that this is a good thing.
If it is, then Consoles have moved out of the realm of packaged games into the realm of software. Of course, in retrospect, this has been happening...
I'm going to treat this as a valid comment and ask... what measurement are you using to reach that conclusion.
If it's preference, that's cool, everyone has their own likes. If it's technical, then I'd be very interested in hearing that argument...
meh... it's a beta. The story strikes me as somewhat opportunistic.
Since the site seems to be down there's no way for me to check their procedures. If anyone has read the article, did they use a large group of computers for testing? Cause that's what beta's for... Some hardware configs won't run at all. There's just no way to tell. If the reporter only tested on a couple, it's really not indicative of IE's quality or lack thereof... *edit* finally got the site to load. Looks lik...
I think the best thing about this gen is that developers seem to realize that the path to photorealistic 3-d is only one of many that make great games. I find art direction like this, LBP, Flow, and Patapon much more interesting than another shooter (no matter how well designed).
Sony will have a much bigger fan in me if they and their developers continue to think outside the box like this...
Yeah, VAT does a lot of that regarding prices. Macs here in the US with comparable hardware are comparable or cheaper in price. Plus you get the warranty, plus the OS, plus cheaper, easier to use software for creative uses.
The MacPro is easily upgradable, from processors on down. Most things slide in and out a lot easier than any PC box I've seen. Graphics card, ram, processors, hdd, and cdroms all slide out with the pull of a level or some simple procedure. Additionally, all cu...
They've already addressed adult content and basically said that there would be adult tags available to keep children from stumbling into something m-rated, etc.
You don't like it. That's great. See my comment above...
"A 3D side scrolling game. Whoopee!"
Yep, some of the best games ever have been side-scrollers.
"Oh, you can build you own levels and import textures. Few people will spend the time it takes to build and test a decent level. Most of them will be stupid crap."
It's great for creative people, and the level they make doesn't even have to be fun to play. It can just be ...
It might only be fun for an hour for you...
Everyone has different interests. The amount of creativity you have + the affinity you have for this asthetic (sockboys, toys) is going to = the amount of fun you can have.
I have no problem with sockboys/toys and I see endless potential for creativity, as well as a playground for my wife and I to enjoy with our inlaws who are a couple thousand miles away.
If you don't like it, that's cool. But that has no bea...

Fair use backups are a protected right, fully supported by the supreme court since there was a way to back up media.
I'm not sure how content providers survived when people got VCR's and could easily copy movies. Or how they squeaked out a profit when tape recorders became affordable...
Oh, that's right... people will actually pay more for something that has added value. If tapes were play for a little while, then get eaten and have to buy another, far less peopl...
Unfortunately the laws of every first world country disagree with you.
It's the media corps that are asserting rights that they do not have, at the expense of everyone else.
There are a lot that are way too enthused about hating MS.
But FUD doesn't mean what you think it does. There's no Fear, Uncertainty or Doubt in saying IE sucks or Firefox is better.
