Either it's becoming the norm for Indie Devs to partner with distributors for wider releases, or it has been for some time. Retaining freedom while having better distribution and advertising will help a lot of good games succeed.
Can't have enough Metroidvania games, my favorite genre.
There will be a rating system, and the better your score the more you can upload at a time.
You can recreate just about anything, even alternate areas. And if a game didn't originally have an asset it will have a version made in its style. Also each style retains its physics, so each gen will play like they used to and each level will change physics as you switch styles.
You almost never fully appreciate someone until they're gone. Not only was Iwata a legendary Developer and a likeable company President, but he was a great person as well.
I feel as tho a part of Nintendo left with him.
They'll stick with 3DS/2DS/New for a few years. They're planning on a YokaiWatch-2DS bundle, and the New 3DS is barely a year old, and NA might get the smaller version later this year. As long as 3DS is profitable they'll keep supporting it, no point in starting with new hardware until sales reach a higher number.
Ofc this could all change in 2 years, but it's still 2 years which gives the 3DS a long life.
It would be one thing if people put money into the Kickstarter and got nothing in return. But in essence you're saying "yes, I want this game" and buying some sort of product associated with it to support the Dev. If you pay X dollars and get a digital release, why does it matter if someone else is putting the big bucks in? It's like pre-ordering the game without seeing the final product.
If no one put out money it might not have been made. If you don't...
I just wanted one, new major WiiU game to be announced. I would have taken more gameplay on Zelda as well. But the lack of a major reveal doesn't make me too excited for 2016, their presentation made it look like Nintendo was out of major ideas. Last year was a refreshing E3 for Nintendo, they were on top of everything and got more people to respect them as a video game company.
Knowing now there won't be Metroid on WiiU is pretty devastating. Nintendo needs a really ...
The lack of any major 2016 game aside from Zelda makes it appear as if Nintendo doesn't have anything to show for next year. New WiiU games that were shown are party/sport/amiibo games, which aren't exactly games to gush over. Star Fox 0 looks rushed, given its 1 year development time and last-gen graphics, and it doesn't even have online, with MP only as a possibility. After the past 12 months Nintendo has had we expected a lot more. Smash and Bayonetta 2 were two of the best gam...
A huge part of E3 is laying a path for the future. Outside of Animal Crossing-Party, not one new WiiU game was shown (there was Skylanders with Amiibo, but it is such a lame 3rd party collaboration). Everything has been announced before and some have a ton of info out (like Mario Maker and Yoshi). E3 is to show off games to get new people attracted and current owners pumped up about their console. We got a ton of Amiibo stuff which is doesn't matter if the Amiibo is in limited stock and b...
Hotline Miami 2 is on sale for 33% off, but if you haven't played the first it's currently available for about $1.50, 85% off.
The only reason this stuff is free is because it should have been included in the base game but Nintendo didn't want to miss a late May release.
Overall this strategy is bad for reviews, but in a way cool for early players. Instead of playing everything at once and maybe losing interest they play the heck out the early modes and maps and slowly get introduced to new content. Even though you bought it in May by August it feels like a fresh game.
The paid D...
The title just says "PS4 games", and the description is about AAA titles in general.
I can't help but feel the game will look better by release, at least in terms of character animations and movement. The industry is so fixated on graphical downgrades the thought of an upgrade overtime seems crazy. I know Splatoon didn't look this good at last E3.
Kinda funny/sad how all of the Nintendo exclusive Re games are getting remakes or sequels but none of them are coming to Nintendo consoles. Revelations 2, zero HD, Resident Evil 1 remaster HD. Even though Resident Evil was popular through PS at the start, Nintendo got a ton of love for most of the game's history.
"Sorry, but you have used your 3 'Look at Kojima Tree' tokens. $1.00 for 3 more?"
I went to the Humble Bundle site, was looking at the discount list when I saw Humongous Entertainment packs on sale. Without hesitation I bought the Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam series. With about a $1 per game my childhood was restored
If only their program could account for the past 18 years of my life. I'd be drowning in points.
It's interesting because the DS was designed to be a 3rd pillar, alongside GameBoy and consoles. Yet we all know DS replaced Gameboy. Iwata did tout NX was going to change gaming life, and since it's not a direct WiiU successor it could be anything.
In some way it will introduce a shareable infrastructure (Miyamoto has lamented how they can't easily port a game from 3DS to WiiU), my guess is NX will be a new start for Nintendo platforms, some sort of global gamin...
They could have an alternate take on the Era of Decline, where evil forces have destroyed most of the world due to the Triforce being split for so long, weakening the Gods who protect the planet. Link must search for the Triforce of Wisdom being guarded by an older Ganondorf. Basically a take on DS1. Link chooses between reforming the Triforce and keeping it with the Gods, or taking it himself and becoming a powerful warrior. Several bosses are Sages who have become evil and take various for...
Reminds me of a GBA game. It looks like it was pulled from the system, or maybe it was done by the people behind Drill Dozer in terms of appearance.
