I think it was Bobby Kotick (or some important Game exec or developer) who said development for next-gen isn't really that much more expensive than the current one.

A price increase would be all the more reason to buy used or to wait for a price drop (which you really should be doing anyway)

I'm pretty sure Amnesia, the Dark Descent is one of the most effective. I haven't even played it yet I'm too scared to try it (saw one scene, just too creepy for my current tastes).

Let's be honest, either the Deluxe set is under priced or the Basic is over priced. It's a crime to sell the Basic at only $50 less, or vice versa

Nintendo survived selling only 20 million Gamecubes only to sell close to 100 million Wii's at a profit each, they've made profit every year of its video game existance except for the last one (only because Wii was essentially dead after 5-6 years and 3DS had a less than expected initial run of sales). Sega fell because of a sequence of poor consoles and Red financials, they had consistent poor showing of consoles and never found that true success story.

Anyone who wa...

Don't think of the WiiU as dead, think of it as... hibernating

That's a good point. Owning one or the other will make the other a tempting choice

While price drops are always nice, I would look at it as a sign of weakness. I know you shouldn't put pride in front of good business, but I'd like to see if the WiiU can sell at its original price for at least another year. The WiiU hasn't really been given the chance, not just from consumers, but from Nintendo themselves.

When the games we really care for haven't come out yet, I don't think we can rule out the WiiU's appeal just yet. When the 1st par...

Oh Notch likes money, it's just that MS paid him/Mojang even more money to keep it away from Nin and Sony

So let's see, Activision milks franchises practically to death and EA abuses and misuses their playerbase.

Congrats EA, you're beating Activision, but not in a good way

My guess is EA wanted to have Origin take precedent over Nintendo Network when Nintendo said "No, here's our infrastructure, you have to abide by our rules, our system". And remember how protective Nintendo is of their license.

Look at how Battlefield 3 wasn't made available for Steam. "EA has claimed that Steam has added a 'set of restrictive terms of service' that limits how the company can provide patches and other content. 'No other d...

A WiiU version would be pretty cool, gamepad is your inventory, use Miiverse to add things to other people's creations

They would have to change the kill streak, death, and damage formula. You can dominate by running around everywhere with an SMG or shotgun, I know in my few games of Battlefield 3 running everywhere meant you were an easy target who was only hurting the team.

As we all know, each new Call of Duty is the same as the last one except with different maps, weapons, and added modes. CoD would have to adopt a class system like BF (where each class brings something unique, the more...
