Spot on. And the problem is a bit more complex than we might think.
The big question is:
In the end, what will be the incentive in buying new?
Today it's sort like paying for a timed exclusive. You can wait for a few weeks/months and have it cheaper.
So, it's not only about giving penalties to second hand buyers, it's also about giving some sort of incentives for first hand buyers.
cyber_crisis: you are very misinformed or maybe your green glasses are a kind of reality blocking device.
I think you haven't been following software sales numbers lately.
Your perception of ps3 as only a bluray player is reductionist. You think that because you know 2 people who use it only as a BD player (excellent one by the way) you can apply this sample to the whole demographics of ps3???
And one thing about the flops you mention: I'll give you, free of ch...
This game also has move support.
It was just a matter of when.

After a long time here at n4g, i am very used to read very quickly the news. I just needed something like 3 sec reading the news title and with just "gt5" "painfully" and "horribly" my brain quickly responded "fanboy" "bias" and "false".
I suppose it's the same for the majority of you.
It's been a long time since Kotaku lost their last inch of credibility. Now with this incident they are a la...
Hey, they could use kinect to track your head movement while you race. If you move your head left, first person view moves to left and so on...
...oh wait....
is this the same thing done with pseye and gt?
oops...
TheMart: you have to ask yourself honestly if you really need an expensive device just to add a small aditional functionality easily attainable with a simple webcam, or motion controller a la sixaxis.

Very interesting comments.
I am a slow gamer (compared to the rushed playthrough record times often stated in this site). I like to take every side mission. I like to admire surroundings/art (not every game of course).
I love games. I buy lots of them. Even if i am deeply involved playing one, when i have the new one i can't resist to put it in. At this moment i forget about the last one.
RPGs is where i put more hours by far, but i finish less games (near to 0). ...
On the other hand, graphic inferiority doesn't make games better.
By your logic graphics don't matter. You fail to understand that graphics is just one part of the games, but rather important.
Do you think in 5 years World of Warcraft will look the same as today?

You're right. Software is what really should matter to gamers. But, the more consoles, the more software.
I was banned from their site just for stating what you're saying.
My opinion is that portal would be perfect for move+3d, because pointing, and a tridimensional conception are in the heart of this game mechanics.
On the other hand, portal is a rather unique game.
3d right now is far from mainstream, but in the coming 12/24 months it will grow quickly.
Why not attract many avid 3d/Move gamers who otherwise would skip Portal 2?
I can't find the answer.
Ridley, Sweetie, you sure you're already 9 years old?
pfffff

Nope. Can't find anything of these on the 3004 (latest model).
Siena is a small village which relies heavily on tourism, as they have this Palio race and some historical monuments.
Those type of cities invest important amounts of money attracting tourists.
It is beyond my comprehension how any city in the world could risk to loose those nice and free of charge impacts to millions of potential costumers.
My conclusion: this story is false or Siena governors are dumbasses.
