they have tons of money but not enough to wipe out sony, its brand and its fan base of the face of the earth. So because their only previous highmarks (win & office) were done by the use of antitrust tactics, they thought they could approach gaming market the same way.
Timed exclusives are the biggest lie ever:
1-give money to developers so they dont publish on the other system
2-the contract states that silence must be kept on possible future appearance on the other sys...

My points:
I loved to death MW1, and played it tons of hours.
I liked a lot WAW, and also played it a lot.
If things dont change (core mechanics) i will dislike MW2.
What's wrong? One word: saturation.
As a gamer, I don't want a third installment so quickly if it hasnt real and big improvements. I want to try different things (strategies, mechanics, gameplay, graphics, ...). And both my impressions and logical...

Most relevant strategy concerned in recent GowCompilation move is about Backwards Copatibility. It's a good opportunity to us, people that closely follow everything related Sony to guess their future moves.

I'm worried this game is not improving the main gameplay mechanic. OK, it's the functioning, ol' established, well tried mechanic that everybody loves but it's getting me tired: Kills are EASY. It's not a challenge. And this can be easily seen in the latest videos. I understand that this is what the mass-market want. Sorta Wii Kill. And don't get me wrong: if i hadn't played cod4 and waw in the last 2 years i would find this type of gameplay refreshing and exciting. But i feel it's like FIFA ...

Those who like to upgrade the hardware are offered a new iteration every nn months. newcomers get a slightly better machine, sony cuts production costs and generates some buzz. And the ol' phat users still have a supported system, with new software and firmware updates. It's difficult to understand who is opposed to such moves. otoh, does anybody think psp2 is near, after recents dsi, 3gs, no xbox handheld at sight, and the massive wave of software support it's receiving right now?

Many posters seem to ignore there is a part of the market that has been paying 400 until one week ago. Almost every electronic device has premium versions (itouch 32gb, xbox elite, tvs, phones, etc...). In fact there was a 499 ps3 320 gb i think. Plus this possible 250 slim bundle would have a voucher for a psn game, adding some more value.
All in all, i dont find this deal brilliant nor elitist. it's how things work.
A lot of people are black or white on this issue.
Typical blind reasoning extremes are
1-"if it's in dlc form, it could have been for sure in the packed game for the same price"
2-"dlc will make my game better"
Good packed games that increase experience with DLC are ok.
Poorly or incompletely packed games that complete experience with DLC are not ok.
So in the end it isn't good or bad. It's an option that the clever compani...
When one developer says “we’ve maxed out this console” i always read “my company cannot find efficient ways to improve our code. We are not able to make our game look/play better”. It’s my decision then if what they achieved is noteworthy, correct or disappointing.
Multiplats are not the good place to make comparisons between platforms, as it’s in the company interest to make the game look equal or very similar.
For exclusives, i think 360 is able to deliver but then ps3 is uber-d...

How many of you are able to move quickly consistently so your character moves quicky?
How many of you will be able to keep your arms high moving your virtual wheel during a 3 hour play session?
