In all honesty, when a reviewer scores a game he must account not only on the proper game and it's qualities but also on what's available on the genre and, most importantly, on the platform.
With PS3 users having Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, Ratchet & Clank, God of War, MAG, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, EyePet in the next weeks/months, it's understandable to explain the relative lesser value of any game on the ps3. You have to choose wisely.

1-NFS is a franchise with a big name. Shift is the 6th NFS to appear on psp.
2-Obviously calling the game Shift on psp is a pure marketing trick. Nobody expects the console experience on psp.
3-Moving the probably not very big investment on psp development onto console development could maybe represent 3 or 4 little more little things in the console version allowing 0,1 ...
One of the great things about DL games is availability. Have you ever tried to buy a non top20 game that you missed at launch 2 years ago? Some titles are already there at reasonable prices. Supposedly 80% of the catalog will be available as DL, and this is a great reason for me. I'll keep my 3000 for UMD and plan to buy a Go for increased portability.

I have 50+ umd games and a true orientation to psp specific capabilities is what mostly makes a game good in this platform

While a year ago some consumer attitude could be "ps3 is more expensive and bluray doesn't pay the difference for me" now it has turned to "ps3 is the same price and has a bluray built-in!".
So if you think that bluray won't help ps3 because there are cheaper players you're completely ignorant on how market and consumer preferences work. What nobody knows is the exact extent on how much it will help increase sales. 0,5%? 2%? 6%? 13%?
