I'll believe the good texture filtering when I see it. But you see, there's ALWAYS a balancing act between performance and graphics. Even on the mid-range equivalent PS4.
As long as the PS4 has an OS, they'll never get all 8GB. I'd say 6.5 is best case scenario.
Question: Given the nature of this game, wouldn't a solid 30FPS with some awesome AA, tessellation and texture filtering be preferable?
I love 60FPS, but I'm not sure it's what I'd go for in this case.
Old news. But still exciting.
Fuck. I'm in a "second tier" country (that sounds so offensive) and I ordered Forza 5 last night... Oh well, at least I'll get to play it earlier since I already have an Xbone.
"Problems" is a very relative term in this context.
Diminishing returns.
They're about where I expected them to be, except for when it comes to texture filtering... 8x AF should be minimum, but there's not a single game doing more than about 4x.
Every year is Nintendo year, fools! :-D
Nah, but the big N seem to have a lot coming next year. So far this year hasn't been too interesting, but Xbox seems to edge out the competition for the remainder, with Forza, Sunset Overdrive, Halo Collection and whathaveyou. Sony is arguably the weakest in the coming six months, but they could have something up their sleeve yet and next year seems to be another strong year for Playstation.
Interestingly, it'...
I'd consider Nintendo more likely, given their recent talk about considering acquisitions. But I think if anyone pays up, it'll be some random, large Japanese company looking to expand their horizon.
@Godginrai, I don't think you'll need to bring salt for that popcorn, there'll be plenty in the comments.
I don't even understand how anyone can make that much dough making silly videos on the Internet. Now, I don't have any knowledge on his work, but it just doesn't seem like fair payment. At leasthe gives to charity. The world is fucked up, there's no business like showbusiness.
Forza Horizon seems to have better clubs, which is a bit laughable. And it's open world....
I'm a bit sceptical to DC after the delay, but it could still be decent.
From best to worst in my opinion:
1. Nintendo (good focus, much gameplay, good announcements and genuine surpises and a special mention to the awesome Treehouse, letting developers do the talking)
2. Microsoft (good momentum, all about the games, much multiplayer)
3. Sony (many games and great exclusives, but not well organised)
4. Ubisoft (some decent demos, but bad jokes and I'm tired of hearing Aisha Tyler declare her...
Stats and graphs are ALWAYS manipulated to sway in one opinion or the other, unfortunately.
Sony also had the most filler and the least gameplay. It was certainly the least exciting of the three, but that's because Sony didn't have to make as much of an effort given their current strong position.
Way to be a dick about it with the "just". Nintendo had a much shorter show, and focused almost solely on exclusives. That's why the stats aren't in their favour. And yet, they were the most focused, with least amount of filler and in my opinion had the best presentation.
Sony actually had the worst presentation of the three in terms of momentum and focus, but some of the games shown were more interesting than what shown at Microsoft. The whole movies part b...
I'm guessing it's by Japan Studio, they're the only first-party studio of Sony I can think of that uses Unreal Engine.
Please be Tokyo Jungle 2!
It reminds me of Studio Ghibli, a combination of Howls Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. This is because of the painting-like backgrounds and more distinct characters combined with the general setting and animations (particularly the machination). It's absolutely gorgeous.
I couldn't give a Shit what others game on, just make sure it's well calibrated (few are) and don't neglect the sound experience.
