He's just delusional, don't know why. Then again, so are most of these "technophiles" here. Blame it onto god knows what, but it gets really annoying when they go on their usual "Oh woe is upon us! My favourite console isn't selling enough!" tirade, while they conveniently forget that it was the least advanced system last gen and prior to that, in 5th gen, to take the pole position... If you want technological progression, go play PC. And upgrade it. Stay out of consoles t...
Miganda, get arguments first, then start posting. Or do even try to think them through while typing your post. It's irritating, verily so, to read your blatant and more than lacking remarks about a system being "kiddy" (what a valid argument, eh?).
Yes, the memory is a restriction as of now. Then again, with current HDD prices, I wouldn't be surprised to see a HD coming to Wii, via USB. Price? 1,5x the prices that they are asking for regular PC external HDDs.
Little problem there. PC gaming is about as wide as any other form of gaming, and with MMO's, I'd say it's almost impossible to "generalize" PC players...
And thus how are you aware whether they are kids as well on PSN? No way to know. Though I do admit that Xbox Live does have them in abundance, unfortunately.
And we should believe you and your statement with what evidence..? That's right, you can say whatever you want, without truly meaning it.
I say I'm a multimillionaire in my own right, while I'm really not. See what I've done there?
What comes to the article, I see PS3 and X0 competing for same audience. Lesser market for both then, with same price levels to boot. Wii? Hey, one doesn't carve a new niche into markets everyday, at least an expanding (at that rate) one....
...Why are you even comparing PSP and X0? They don't even compete. You should be talking about NDS, not X0...
And how, pray tell, do PS2 and PS3 are even comparable? Take a look at N64. It is a hugely powerful console with some restrictions to it (for that period of time), and it didn't really sell. Same goes for GC, for it's time. Meanwhile you had PS and PS2 outselling them, on basis of inferior technology (yes, I know I'll be getting disagrees now en masse, but it had to be said). This gen, it's a full turnaround. It's ninty who broke the fold and did "Playstations" on the competition an...
Here where I live, there's a certain problem to it: Sony doesn't advertise almost at all. GT5:P was advertised, but thus far I haven't seen almost any MGS4 adverts. Well, barring those which are in the gaming shops anyway, but otherwise it's been quite slow.... (Media has been quite helpful though, and I wouldn't wonder if MGS took a a third or even second position this month in all games sold (NOTHING is going to beat WoW and CS:S here -_-))
Now we'll just have to wait and see if the effect is a prolonged one, and by effect I mean the stimulation PS3 sales got from MGS4... Sure do hope so. Or not, depending hugely on when the prices are coming down. I still would like to get my hands on a PS3, but they seem to be a tad too expensive still...
No. Why? Single game. If that isn't enough of a reason, then what do you require? The blatantly obvious "do you honestly think someone is going to hole upwards of $500 for a console system" question?
Here I'd like to say Wii hasn't even scratched the library of shovelware PS2 has... Does Wii have hundreds of different titles? Yes, 592 to be exact. Does PS2 have? Yep. About 1700 titles, to be nigh exact. There's still 2/3rds for wii to catch up in that...
And suddenly motion isn't gimmicky at all anymore... hmm.
Wii: 150,944
Where is your god now?
I love how people just Ignore Wii with its 150k sales... I really do!
Why should one buy a $500 gfx card, when one can buy a proper and a solid card for 200-250? Last I checked, 8800 series did have GT in there for Nvidia, and Ati did have 3870 around same price. Or are the components that much cheaper in Europe?
I'd like to think of it as a hobby, more so than the console gaming (upgrading computer that is). It's always somewhat interesting to try and keep up with all that is going in regards to hardware and then play out different upgrade scenarios.. "I could do this, but then I couldn't do that in a while".
Also, PC gaming does have the benefit of having state-of-the-art visuals, AI... Well, everything.
I shudder to think when Ninty actually DOES drop the prices, even a bit...
And last gen a "fad" won? So nothing new there?
What they say might not equal truth. Spin spin spin the bottle...
Or he just fails to see games for what they are. It's nice to see that people still love to see things through blue or green hued glasses, though. Do they come with the console or do you have to do something in order to get them?
