Moentjers, I've tried using it. I don't see what's so grand about it. I see dozen other phones with better specs out there, which I've liked to use more. iPhone as a phone is overrated, Apple just managed to tout features that have been in mobile phones for quite some time as "ground breaking, awesome" in their own iteration of a phone.
'Shiny' alone won't cut it. "it's oh so trendy" is mah guess...
I still don't understand what people see in this thing.
You probably mean diddy kong racing. I hated it.
Ya, it had three stages while drifting too, where only the last one gave the boost. I suggest you look up snaking related to Mario Kart games.
Rainbow road on MK64 was o.k.ish, but on original it was just horrible :'D Later implementations were quite meh IMO.
First of all. Capital letters at the beginning of a sentence. Your post was a pain to read.
Have some space between things you want to say. Chapterize. Makes it easier to read.
Now, redo this post and I'll try to read it and offer some kind of reply.
Go take a look at Symbian OS phone sales compared to phones running any variation of iPhone OS. Millions upon millions? Hardly.
Fascinating, I wasn't aware that there were such big fishes doing games for iPhone. Sure as hell haven't seen anything thus far to pique my interest in the slightest. I wonder why?
Also, closed programming environment ftl. You can only release what Apple allows you to release. I loathe that.
Bottom line is that thus far everyth...
It's a damn phone. Maybe a nifty one, but still. Phone.
Come back to me when they've sold millions upon millions of them, and have dedicated game developers (I don't mean indie garbage nor little rapelike ports, which Red Alert for Iphone is a good example).
Should port Red Alert for my s60 5th ed... oh wait, i have dosbox. Duh.
What the hell have people been smoking on these comment boards as of late if they haven't ever drifted or powerslided in Mario Kart games...
Meh. Ignorant youth.
Agreed on the steering wheel part. A huge p.i.t.a. that one. Still, I miss the good old days of FFA 4-player MK64...
Need to look at this latest PS offering though, then give a whack if needed.
Even Mario Kart 64 disagrees with you. Powersliding, been there done that. Hell, even the original Mario Kart had a form of powersliding. It was just damn hard (made you spin quite easily).
If you haven't played'em, don't dismiss'em.
There's a reason why so many players keep Mario Kart games in such high regard: They just are so good, in some strange way. Mind you, I had a blast with CTR yet I always went back to all different variations of Mario Kart. 64 was awesome...
Hm. The title is quite amusing. Inflammatory much? Also, it's quite simple statement from the author, seeing he can't possibly represent everyone in the gaming community, or all gamers in general. Too bad such simple statements usually cause lot of grief and malicious incidents.
So, where am I standing? I couldn't care less for the consoles of this moment, but I still dislike greatly all these 'bait' articles. Yes, it has news value, I don't deny it. But the wording, you could ha...
No.
EDIT: Well, digitalanalog put it better: If they are to be counted as gamers, they should most definitely be named the worst kind ever to grab a controller or mouse.
Have a good day.
Counter-Strike: Source is still on most sold lists here in Finland. For a reason.
Well, seeing it is an additional peripheral, in the likeness of Eyetoy and others of this kind, I'm doubtful. It isn't the "standard controlling scheme", it most probably won't become the basic controller anytime soon (not until PS4?), and until then it will most likely stay as a curiosity.
Just my two cents on the subject.
You people are seeing it the wrong way here, when you go saying "it doesn't mean anything to Sony". Of course it does. Sony is still way behind when it comes to pure numbers. If this is a way for Nintendo keep the sales up, and above those of PS3, it of course has an effect on market, and on Sony by that venue.
It means essentially that Sony, if it wants to catch up (highly unlikely), it should do something VERY interesting to achieve spotlight.
And a real gamer wouldn't be nitpicking here about the flaws of competition; he'd be playing all the games he is praising, yes?
If you want true depth, classics are the way to go sometimes ;)
Probability of using the motion controller of Sonys. Seems like we have a potential crossplat for PS3/Wii. If done correctly, that is.
I like the way how you think, EvilTwin.
I myself have both Wii and PS3, and was thinking of getting X0 as well. Haven't yet, though, since it's hard to juggle free time with PS3, Wii and PC. I have to sleep sometimes too. Also, being a student who works part time isn't helping at all.
But the hate. Cannot, and will not, understand it. There is no real basis for it.
This bugs me. "Kojima said..." times x. Where is my real interview on the subject?
Also, while a phenomenal talent and a very important character when it comes to console gaming industry, he is in the end but a man; one man. He might be enthralled with the idea, but is the majority of game developers? Single man is naught in the front of a mass.
EDIT: Also, he isn't Kane. You all know whom I'm talking about ;)
... Will its looks remain that way?
Ugh, US and most horrible US carrier system..
