Interesting. They are going to base the "coming" success on multiplat games? Well, if that's what floats your boat...
Recession will hit everyone just as hard. X0's games are almost as expensive as PS3 games, at least from my experience. Guess I'll stick to minigames from PSN or Wiiware for now...
Ah, excellent. Was waiting for a good puzzle to arrive, and here it is. Not that the earlier ones are bad, but Lumines is something I was especially waiting for.
Beats me. Affordability? No, that should go to Xbox360 by now. It's not the raw power either...
Pure marketing genius, that's what's behind the success that we know as Wii. Well, and it does offer a new way to play (so even toddlers and elders can play...?)
Hell yea, this is something I've been looking for. I could have probably found it later, but mil deployment... meh. Sucks.
Fail on so many fronts. No shooters for you without PC, eh? And PC still remains the largest when it comes to install base... Yes, the individual PCs do differ in specs, but there are still so many of them you really cannot compare.
Ah, that might be true. Spore might get somewhat slow at times.
... That's absurd. Why leave something possibly very exciting behind, because you anticipate another game? Surely, PC isn't on your "hatred things" list?
Excellent. My joystick was craving a good sim...
Matter of opinion. I found it to be rather amusing, though annoying at times.
I didn't say it was a plausible explanation... heh.
Nintendo? Ruining gaming? Hell NAW! It's the fanboys who either a) have not enough brains to take every perspective into account, b) do not have enough dough to get all three or even two of the trio and see it themselves, or c) have sold their souls to whatever company it be, be it Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft.
Nintendo by itself cannot ruin gaming; there are almost as much PS3's and X0's combined out there as there are Wiis. Shouldn't that say something, hmm?
About t...
They fear loading times? I see no other plausible explanation (well, ok, the DL discs are maybe half a dollar more expensive. Not even that probably.).
No caps at all here in Finland. Loving my country. Then again, 33€ for 10mb connection, hmm...
Sony's momentum isn't doing them anything as long as they are forcing it up consumers arses with their pricing. I mean, honestly. Yanks get a ps3 80gb version for $399? Europeans have to pay 399€, and after a quick calculus, that's about 1.5 times the money yanks have to invest...
Sick, I say. And here in Finland, that's 460€ btw.
Soon the naysayers are going to point out the huge difference that is the number of consoles on the market, and how casuals do this and they "Hardcore" do that.
Le sigh... At the same time, certain companies (like THQ and Midway) are actually getting a profit out of Nintendo console (something that is quite unheard of as of late).
It's a false assumption fanboys are keen to cling on. "But but but 3rd party can't sell on nintendo consoles!"
Here's the problem. Another source states that Wii is outselling PS3 3 to 1 again in Japan. What is to say it won't go back to 5 to 1, or slump down to 2 to 1 again? It is far too early to go and proclaim "catching up" unless PS3 is actually outselling Wii more than a week (hell, a month). Consumers are fickle.
A "huge" success? Hardly. If it was a huge success, Nokia wouldn't have a 40% market share..
Apparently not. Nothing new there... It's quite amusing how they are ignoring a huge market area, just because there are dozens of nations with differing languages... Look at Blizzard, they didn't ignore and look where that got them?
