Yes, let's not argumentate at all why we disagree. Face it, even a corporate conglomerate like Sony can't handle the juggling that THREE different consoles on market by them would bring in. It's just not plausible. Look at them right now. PS3 is selling, yes, but at loss. PS2 is eating away sales. What would a third console bring to that equation? Less sales for both PS3 and PS2. Even less for the 3rd one. Brand loyalty goes only so far.
Yes, let's stagnate. You'd like that, wouldn't you? "ZOMG! This console is marginally better than it's predecessor, yet still fails in competition against PC!"
PS. I do own a PC that can render graphics well enough to my liking. Not the top of the line (how could student afford that?) but close enough. But let's face it. Consoles, no matter how powerful at their conception, are going to fail against PCs in the long run. Why? Because you can't upgrade your consoles like...
Yes, because 1000 people of 2 million seem to be half a promille. They must be onto something there..!
Yes, let's at one point praise reviewers, and then at some point hate them. That is logical. Sorry, that just seems to be trend here on this site. I don't know how you have been inclined thus far, but I fear you're still going to go "F--K YEA, THIS GAME GOT A X ON THIS SITE REVIEW". Mind you, if you don't, this doesn't matter. If you do, you'll be a hypocrite.
Up to you, entirely.
One could not have done Mario on GC. Audio track alone prevents it. Also, the implementation of motion controlling, how absurd it ever is, prevents it too. It's not the same experience without them, or is it? Zelda is only ONE game out of many. Could you have done MP3 as well as it was done on Wii on GC? Nope. Could you have done the aiming system EA used on MoH:H2 on GC? Nope. Could you have managed the feeling of Excite Truck on GC? Never.
What the HELL are you idiots crying ab...
If PS4 is going to be anything like PS3, there's going to be trouble for Sony... Unless they suddenly discontinue PS2 completely, focus what resources they had on PS2 to PS3 and take PS4 as flagship. Not happening.
Oh really? Now, are you confusing different types of games that have same characters? Well, I do understand, Nintendo can sometimes be very befuddling with their Mario sports and platformers, no?
Hardcore this, hardcore that... I loathe that word beyond everything these days.
But if there is a new Kid Icarus game in works, would that be "hardcore" enough for you, hmm?
Now now, people did queue for PS3 too... in the beginning. What does that have to say about anything?
Last I checked it was "hardcore" gamers that turned their back to Nintendo on Gamecube and N64... And now all the bawling since Ninty has broadened it's target market? Hypocrites.
Go go Paladin HoT. What else? uhh... nothing? Meanwhile, warriors and their 2h dual wield. Wtf?
All I see here are rabid sonyboys with bluehued glasses. Where did you get them again?
I still am most dubious of this garnering any attention whatsoever. Let it be Playstation, let it be anything. Phones are not gaming devices.
Shipped or sold? Or by their definition, sold to retailers, who haven't sold them all?
I see a strategy here...
Nothing new here, now scoot along.
Hey, as I said, one game can only sell only so much hardware. And while MGS4 might be a nifty (hell, a GOTY contender), it still isn't *That* popular among the masses.
Current Nintendo is the Byzantine empire, the spiritual successor to Roman Empire... Then, if there ever is a "3rd coming", that'd be the Old Russian tsardom. heh.
So. They are to infringe mobile phones market? Good luck I must say. Gadgets will sell only so much, when phones are meant to be phones. Or as a Nokia spokesperson laid it out when someone asked about Iphone... "Oh, they've sold that much? Oh dear. We sell that much in couple of days, what they sell in months..."
Also, can mobile phones work as a gaming medium? Doubtful at best. Where and how would you play with them? If you play with a mobile phone, it's straight out...
Oooh, someone is bitter! Why? Why are you up to arms when an inferior console, as you say, is up there and winning? That's been the trend for last two generations of consoles prior to current one. It's just how the things tend to keep going. Why weren't you crying foul back when PS2 was selling boatloads with it's inferior tech, compared to rivals? Or heck, when PS1 was outselling a clearly technically better N64?
So, where did you get those blue hued glasses again?
Because PS2 is eating sales from PS3 by existing. Yes, it's eating sales from Wii as well, but not nearly enough for it to be really a prospect anymore. It'll take quite long for Sony to recoup the losses they are incurring from PS3 with each sale, and if they aren't dominant by the time they really get any profit from PS3, it's too late by then. They themselves created the model where console should be sold on loss and then the losses be recouped through software. Only it isn't working if yo...
