better cast than BG3, sure :D You cannot have different stance in anything on Veilguard, specially when compared to BG3. All you can say is Yes you are right with 3 different ways. Only decisions in Veilguards story are done in last hours of the game, other than those there are no real choices. "Someone does not seem to know what repetitive gameplay is" right back at you. You have your primer and teammates ignite/explosion combo, then rince and repeat that from first hours to the la...
Success? Hope for next Mass Effect, none. The writing and characters in Veilguard are horrible. There are no choices and the gameplay is repetitive.
Uhm just nope, the writing is average at best and mostly low quality or cringe. Then when Dragon Age used to be gloom and dark, this is upbeat Marvel humor from someone that is not funny. The gameplay gets old way before the end, there is not much you can do to get variety since you can only play Rook. You only get true choices in the last mission in the end, otherwise you really do not have any choices and you can only be nice to everyone. Only AAA quality are the graphics, but the cartoony ...
Uhm what, sold better than black ops 6? I am looking the list right now and no it isn't. Also comparing to recent weeks BO6 has risen 11 spots now and DAV 33 spots but is not on top of BO6. Then f2p never heard Throne and liberty MMO has 300k players. Then well known IP on its first weeks cant do more than 80k? Also "record on steam" since they usually used not to release on steam on day 1. Specially when one article claimed DAV sold 500% more on steam than Dragon Age inquisitio...
DA used to be very dark and bleak, now it's just jolly good time with guardians of the galaxy. Choices don't matter, you cant actually be evil or mean, you cant lose anyone. There is not much hope for a good Mass Effect.
@LucasRuinedChildhood the Silent Hill 2 criticism faded because the product actually was good. For what I have seen from Dragon Age Veilguard looks like an ok game, nothing great or an utter turd. I am expecting this to be mediocre/decent among most gamers. Though it's the only decent AAA game this year and some of the most sold games have been brushed off from game of the year competitions so I would not be surprised if this takes the cake.
@Redemption-64 why do people watch reviews and specially from certain people? They do not tell you what to like, they review the product. Tell what is good and what is bad. If you have a trusted reviewer or user that has similar interests ofc the review matters. If it wouldn't there would not be reviews of anything. Are some people sheep for certain corporations/products/peoples opinion...sure. But mostly reviews give guidance if the product is for you.

Same ress, double the FPS. This game is hard to run even on PC 60fps on decent ress. How are we surprised about this? You really want to run a shooting game at 30fps 4k? nah bruh fk that.
Never knew that depression or being in war shapes your jawline 🥸 She ain't really bad, new perfect dark joannas buzz lightyear jaw was bad 😂
@Reaper22_ doing the exact thing? Nintendo is doing differently and innovating + good amount of exclusives. Sony and MS should try to innovate too, at least Sony has some exclusives. Nobody said that dev's are forced to use GP, but its very different to sell 100k copies of 60€ game to get 100k dollar lump sum if you put it on GP. Also let's not lie ourselves that if good game is on GP, that people go out and buy the game separately. Some yes, most no, half no.
I haven't seen any marketing for this game. Zero, none, zit. Like MS ftw is this?
@TheColbertinator lets see how many of those are semi realistic big open world games that where not released over 5+ years ago. Yeah basically Rise of the Ronin and Ghost of Tsushima left on the list...wow, big list :D
Never before was the main character or one of the characters been some real person from history. Also they always where native to the country where the games where set except this and black flag (welsh pirate in carribean, most pirates where european). They even had said in interviews that they felt that people could not get into the Japanese culture if both characters where Japanese. Funny how it was not a problem on other AC's.
Amy Hennig was the carrying force of making stories in the studio. When she left, he did what...last of us 2 by himself which people hated due to story issues. I think he never had a proper game story in him to begin with.
No one had issues of appearance or sexualization with Bayonetta 1-3, now couple years back this is unacceptable. oh the horror. Think of the children, the 18+ children. Traumatized beyond repair.
Oh no! Anyway, sold 😁 It's rare to get DMC style games anymore.
It's not finished yet doofus. I played Valheim 70h in couple weeks and been visiting it couple times after that. There has been lot of changes, but I'm waiting for the completion so I would have proper amount of new biomes to explore. I would imagine a lot of ppl are doing the same with this game.
Firstly half of those started development before gamepass was a thing and secondly they are backed by MS who has more money than anyone. On a third party standpoint the view is totally different to first party MS studios. Your argument is invalid.
I think that people are just combining everything we have seen on ND and multiple triple AAA games like Veilguard into this. First you go heavily to 80s neon aesthetics, pet shop boys, Porsche, space ship ripped from cowboy bebop = mainly something that men like mostly. Then you have main character that is immediately bossy, self centered and has the similar characteristics to many current female lead games and shows like rings of power etc.
We don't hate women as leads...
