Anyone who has lately played the first one (which has the best story/plot) knows how jank, static and outdated the game itself is. Anything to make it run better with modern features will make that soooo much better.

@soulrebel have you seen the game? It's not a graphic masterpiece and even better looking games run higher resolution on 2-3 screens and 60fps. Yes it is a cool gimmick to have two screens of the same scene with different styles, but cmon. This is bad optimization.

I think Amy Hennig did more good as a writer back on Uncharted and original TLOU than what Druckmann. TLOU2 is his only project where he was the lead in story, vision and direction.

PS5 uses PS4 Pro BC settings when running PS4 games. XSX has it's own BC settings for all last gen games. Due to this XSX has overall better results and uses more of it's muscle when running old games.
XSX runs games on it's own BC mode, PS5 runs games on PS4 Pro mode. Only sony patched first party games run in PS5 BC. This is why some ps4/x0 games run better/steady framerate compared to XSX since it runs games lower/checkerboarding resolution instead of trying to play it in Native 1800p or 4k. Cudos to MS, their BC with load times and automatic HDR etc. is amazing.
I really like ME1 story and decisions, but anyone who says that the gameplay of ME1 is not outdated have not played it lately or their memories are clouding their judgement.
