Atm yen is really low, half what it used to be fiver years ago. Sales in Japan not great, since nobody has money. Nintendo made the same trick before and it vitalized the sales greatly. @papabop it was already running on xbox, but because of the size of the game they chose not to release it on xbox. If Konami had that build stored somewhere it would be easier to port, but I would not bet that Konami has anything stored from MGS properly.
So 8 days ago they posted Silent Hill 2 remake "Creating the ‘Otherworld’ of SILENT HILL 2 | Unreal Fest Orlando 2025". So they must have collaborated with blooper team to make this game if they present it on stage. In release this was lamented as one of the worst hitching games by Digital foundry.

Yeah it's just a coincidence that almost ALL UE5 games have stuttering issues. If you are using an engine where it's easy to make it stutter without you knowing it, then maybe the Engine should be made more stutter proof or give documentation what not to do or how to fix stutters on their OWN engine. If you can poop your engine to stutter on 7800x3d and RTX 4090 you have done something wrong.

Until VR has a lot of killer games, low price, wireless, low weight and long operating time, the whole VR as gaming will be niche. As said to Thorstein above, my guess was based on what I remembered the AW2 numbers being, though I had remembered them incorrectly. I don't see the base PS5/XSX it doing much better than AW2 on quality and performance. In that regard S would be running as on my first comment.
I never said that I had some inside information, just guessing and comparing how GTA's have run post GTA4. I remember Alan Wake being 847p resolution on base ps5, but it was the performance mode, though even that cant hit 60fps constantly. Quality is 1200p and 30fps, though in some areas it will go below 30fps.

I had huge stuttering issues with Wukong and Remnant 2, but robocop, the finals, arc raiders no issues whatsoever. Certain games specially with UE5 have shader compilation problems on PC, which is non-issue in Consoles since the setup is always the same. Not the same thing at all. Elden ring and souls games have no pause because it requires your attention all times and there it will always track your deaths. You die, you start over from the checkpoint and you need to get back your runes. stuff you did might change what you need to do to get back again to your runes.
