What???? The conference was awful that's being kind but the mantel API is differently interesting for PC.... But from the way they talked about it. It seems proprietary which contradicts what amd have been saying about Nvidia and Physx and lessens the impact of it.
Other thing that was awesome at least was the sound demo ---> it's amazing https://www.youtube.com/wat...
They...
Nothing because those are rehashed HD7* series parts for OEMs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Btw OEM's don't need a license because it's GPL and free ;)
Much agreed yh am hoping that also because shoehorning some things that are not optimal for the game could ruin the games control scheme/gameplay.
Haha I knew it was from gamingbolt as soon as a saw the title :p They sure love them hit pulling titles.... Anyways to good hear they will be using all the PS4 features if it comes to consoles :)
Hmm so both MS and Sony are using custom hardware to offload the stress from the CPU. MS's hardware is more custom as most of it is used for kinect. Either way good to see both consoles wouldn't be wasting cpu resources on processing audio.
Blue it is for me in time :)
I don't think it will be that close but I look forward in seeing better facial animations next-gen.
@Bobbo55
The developers themselves also said they don't know what GT6 physics engine is like so he can't really say that much. And he's only talking psychics. Physics only =/= sim racer.
"Just do the math. Honestly," Greenawalt replied. "I don't know what their physics engine is. I know what mine is."
Dash detail and gloves always amazes me but they really need to tone down the lens flare it's too damn bright.
We have seen most of the footage here already it's the same build from Gamescom/PAX except the classic cars section.
I hope we will start seeing new footage from launch games as we near launch now.
All "indie" games like Minecraft, State of decay were published by MS or a third-party publisher that doesn't equal being indie. Xbox Live Indie Games was restrictive in what you could create but is indie.
It's great for linux as with a powerhouse such as steam backing linux gaming more devs will come to see linux as a more valid platform than it is atm.
It has already helped a bit with the driver side of things just look at how amd have started to become more active on the linux front but this will take some time before it will be really effective and there's still the huge backlog of windows games that wouldn't be ported over. But for me as a converted primary Arc...
Personally I like it but agreed more black is needed ;)
OT - I can't wait to see how this looks when the final build is ready :)
Yes :) Can't wait to see some gameplay I know it will probably take a year or more to come but hope something gets leaked early :p.
@BallsEye
I thought the proof was suppose to be on neogaf. Oh well doesn't matter too much. The guy does make some good points I won't disagree with that.
Looking at the gifs and the still images the third picture where he comments "Is that the PS4's cloud?"
The pole thing with the flag to the right is obviously not the same so there's something wrong there. But the cloud he points to is not even a cloud but the sma...
"Just like our friends we're based on the Sea Islands family"
So both the PS4 and XB1 use rebranded OEM HD7000 parts it seems ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Lmaooo I like how misterx now says the 27th doesn't matter now ---> http://misterxmedia.livejou...
I don't think you have been reading the same neogaf as everyone.... Please provide evidence stating otherwise.
Wait what??? Are you blind loool how can Driveclub have pre-baked lighting when objects cast a shadow depending on how much light there is and the position of the object. You don't even need them to tell you that the lighting is not pre-baked.
Look at how the dash is reflected on the side window here ---> http://communityteam.softwa... <...
"You do realize that Sony has had quite a few changes of their own correct, and that they were also considering DRM at one point as well don't you?"
Defiantly not the same as what MS were doing with always online and restricting disc games. It was confirmed second-games would work after their reveal and also you don't require an internet connection at all if you wanted. The only drm that would work then would be online passes which are mostly gone this gen thankfully...
This needs to not be proprietary to just GCN to really take off but it sounds like that's not the case but am looking forward to seeing what devs can do with low level access on something like the 290X considering the amazing things we have seen on consoles near the end of the console cycle.
