"Sony did it again"
I feel like some of you give all the credit to Sony and not enough credit to the people who work on the software. Quantic Dream is not a Sony studio. They made this demo, and they deserve the credit.
Native 720p is 1280x720.
It's full 720p. Look it up.
I might have to upgrade to a Kepler GPU, then.
My 570 runs everything on max as of now, but I can tell it will chug along on the Unreal Engine 4.
Looking good. I hope their next game tones down on the pointless QTEs that Heavy Rain had. And please, let it be about this Kara lady robot thing.
I have one.
"Some people can't take i joke, it's like I'm attacking his mother. *sigh*"
You didn't come up with that joke. You're saying the same thing hundreds of people have said before you. Why should anyone laugh?
Is Carlos Mencia your hero?
I didn't expect this from Sony.
Native 720p means "real" 720p.
Well, Halo 4 is confirmed to have perks like CoD, and fans are upset about it, so perhaps the writer has a point.
Also, I've read on NeoGaf that there will not be a public beta, which is a terrible decision. One of the great things about Halo has been public betas which ensures a minimal amount of bugs in the mp.
"He's hardly a PC Fanboy. I'm a PC fanboy so I'd like to point out that a free to play game, Tribes:Ascend looks better :P "
Damn, you're right.
"How many times have developers said that they have maxed out the 360 or the PS3 only for them to out do it again?"
They weren't lying. They just managed to optimize the code a bit further, but after years of doing that, they're running out of things to improve. At some point, they're going to call it a day and say they can't optimize anymore and would rather have new hardware to work with.
The improvements we're seeing have ...
I hope it's a standard ability and not a pick-up.
FriedGoat, I LOVE YOU!
Halo 4 looks great. I'm going to have to get a new slim 360 for this game. I love everything about that video. Halo 4 is described as being a huge deviation from the Reach philosophy. I absolutely hated the fact that many of the levels in Reach were taken out of the campaign. And the guys at 343 said they're not going to do that anymore. I also hope they don't make any maps using Forge World and generic assets like they with Reach (exa...
The difference is that when you watch a movie where someone is being shot up or dismembered or maimed in some way, there is a point to it. It serves to illustrate the bleakness of the situation or the malice of the villain in the film.
In video games, when the player has the option to kill, dismember, maim, or whatever another character in the game, many take is as a reflection of that player's true character when he/she chooses to do those things.
If yo...
Yes but you're assuming that the only choice the consumer has it to buy the game at launch.
Some people wait for a while until the all the DLC is repackaged with the original game and is sold as a GOTY/definitive edition for less than 65 bucks.
What they're doing is greedy, but for those of us who have observed this behavior from Capcom and others, it's an avoidable issue. It takes patience, yes, but that's your responsibility as a consumer. ...
Halo 2 was much better. The Quarantine level in Halo 2 was a legitimately creepy level.
A small drop in resolution allowed them to add HDR, 4 times the texture resolution, large-scale areas, advanced particle effects, etc.
They can make a 720p game if they want. It just won't have a stable framerate.
That's what I'm doing. I'm not going to buy every yearly release Microsoft makes.
I played the Forza 4 demo, it was good but not worthy of a purchase. If Forza 5 is on the next Xbox, I'm thinking it will be a major successor.
That doesn't contradict me at all. It further proves my point.
Sounds like a good deal. My current one works but it makes a lot of noise. Need a slim.
