The size of the sample is not the problem. The question is, did Guinness employ a simple random sampling method? Did every member of the population have an equal chance of being surveyed? Or did Guinness resort to a convenience sample, where they just had the question posted on the internet?
Otherwise, 13,000 people is a very good number.
Guerrilla Games is a first party studio. I don't think Sony is going to charge itself to patch a game.
Although I have heard that in the past different divisions of Sony have acted very antagonistic toward one another. It's not relevant here because SCE and GG are part of the same division.
But how does this force the developer/publisher to make a better game?
In my eyes, all it does it deter the developer from patching any known problems. There are many small-time developers like From Software who would patch their games (like Dark Souls) but cannot because they cannot afford the fee.
It doesn't mean shit to Bethesda because their game sells so well that $40,000 is a drop in the bucket. And consider the fact that games as large as the Eld...
"What I have a problem with is using the psp in an insulting way to make the vita look superior"
You shouldn't have a problem with that, either. The PS VITA should make the PSP look like a piece of crap in comparison.
But I've read some of your comments so I don't expect much else from you.
Any ounce of respect you could have garnered from me was lost when you decided to forgo any originality on your part by choosing your username to be "tehpees3."
I mean, if you weren't blatantly wearing a badge of loyalty to a company, then I'd take your word as your opinion rather than as that of a brainwashed sheep.
Okay, one Halo title every 2 years. Not three. Great, I made a mistake in my math. It doesn't change the fact that the ...
One main Halo title every 3 years sounds okay to me.
People complain that Halo is milked because of all the spin offs, but they make the major assumption that Halo fans will buy every Halo game.
The only Halo games I've played this gen were Halo 3 and Reach. I paid for 3, and was given Reach as a present. My circumstances are such that I don't really feel burned out on Halo. But I do think the series needs a break because Reach was not a very good ...
You know the (only) clever thing about "Forza_is_King's" ; username is that when you mention it in your post, it sounds like you're agreeing with his views.
Okay, guys. Another Forza versus Gran Turismo squabble.
Okay, thanks for letting us know. More developers should know that they don't need to try.
Go get it. Why do you let console companies dictate when to get new hardware?
That's BS, Bethesda.
You should get much a higher framerate with your card. This game must not be well-optimized if you don't get at least 80fps at 1080p.
Even my 570 will max out BF3 on ultra settings at perhaps 65fps.
But that's just like, your opinion, man.
Who conditioned you to think that a game that scores 5/10 is worth playing?
"Can someone explain the significance of 11.11.11?"
All the digits are one. It's a good marketing tool.
Good thing I got a 570. Not waiting for next-gen anymore.
Next gen starts when I say so.
"The PS3 isn't hard to develop for, it's just different."
Each SPU in the Cell requires its own compiler and debug unit.
The 360 dev kit has one compiler that automatically splits up tasks among the 3 cores of the Xenon CPU.
Basically, it takes 6 times more work to get game code running on the PS3 as it does on 360.
"Killer Instinct was so long ago I think Luke Skywalker played it on the Millenium Falcon."
Ha...ha?
Yup. France was as well. And Greece is a vortex of doom for the EU. They made a huge mistake in letting Greece into the EU.
"If it had the same issues on the 360 (an underpowered PC from 5 years ago with a small bit of RAM and an outdated GPU as you put it) imagine the mass uproar."
The Xbox 360 version has severe issues as well. It runs better than the PS3 version, but only slightly better.
"But because the issues are only on the PS3 that's fine is it? Hey, who cares it they spent money on it like me and it's essentially unplayable, doesn't affect me. ...
Played MW3 a couple of days ago. Was dumbfounded by how shitty it looks. It looked as bad as Counterstrike 1.6.
The fact is that the gameplay hasn't changed, and neither have the graphics. So you're not getting anything new with Modern Warfare 3.
And no, it is not a fallacy to claim that Activision doesn't innovate. A fallacy is a break in logical reasoning. Saying that Activision doesn't innovate is merely a claim.
