Gears 2 is a fun shooter but it's not like it's remotely anything like a perfect game.
Uncharted 1 offered a hell of a lot more than Gears 2 did, nvm Uncharted 2.
If you don't buy it you really will be cheating yourself.
Whether or not Uncharted 2 isn't in line with your taste, you surely can't fail to acknowledge it's quality in terms of production value and I don't just mean the graphics. Sure the technical achievements of the game are top notch but the quality of the story, the characters, the script, the voice acting, the attention to detail. Basically every facet of what makes a game great is present in here.

Yeah I'm thinking I might just get it from GAME. However they normally end up getting these in store, one of my mates works in my local store, think I'll ask him if they are getting them in stock.

Modern warfare 2 winning any overall GOTY awards will be a tragedy imo. There's so many games out this year that are better than another instalment of another generic arcade shooter.
MW2 will probably walk away with all the shooter awards but for the overall GOTY awards it shouldn't be getting close.
Seriously man, having the gods as boss fights and then having other large battles vs things like centaurs and their minions and chimeras....it all points to the single most epic action game there has ever been.
If the exclusion of dynamic themes in the next update will disappoint you then you can just go ahead and be disappointed right now. The actual themes won't ever be in a FW update, you'll only ever get them from the store.
