Killzone 2 was not a brand new ip though, it was just an immense improvement on the original.

Not surprised by this really. FIFA is an absolutely massive franchise and the number of people that love football games like FIFA and PES in the UK is fairly huge.
Well mate from what I've read and been told, you've chosen a pretty damn good game in Demon's Souls as an alternative to Uncharted.
Agree with how you use the last 0.5 points to determine if a gaame gets a 10 or not but I have to say the review was a good read and you've given the game just about a perfect score which is hard to argue with.
Great to see others are enjoying Uncharted 2 as much as I have been this weekend.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is actually a pretty awesome game. Certainly not GOTY but it was a surprisingly awesome game.
ODST and FIFA 10 just don't belong on that list at all.
No need for these articles, Uncharted 2 getting GOTY on the majority of sites and from whoever else does these awards is pretty much a formality.

inFAMOUS has been my favourite game of this gen alongside Drake's Fortune.
I'd love a sequel to this game and no doubt one will be made. I can just imagine what it'll be like with an updated graphics and physics engine.

The inFAMOUS universe definitely has potential for a movie, but it would need to be done to a very high standard so as not to suck.

They are nice apps for Gold customers for sure and will be of benefit to them, I mean I think MS said the facebook app (maybe twitter too?) interacts with your friendslist which is nice.

I played the Brutal Legend demo on PS3 and I have to say it was fantastic, so much so that it has convinced me to buy the game at some point. It won't be just yet as UC2 is my main love right now, or at least it will be on Friday.
I'll definitely pick this up at some point though, based on the demo. It just seems like a hell of a lot of fun and also pretty funny and witty. Gameplay also seems pretty cool!

This and GT PSP are fantastic additions to my PSP collection.
Don't care about review scores myself but I know devs like to see their games well received with scores so it'd be nice to see it getting the scores that I think it deserves, just for the benefit of the devs.
I think what Turn 10 and MS need to do is simply just try to promote their game and sell it on it's own merits. I mean look at all the quality gaming franchises out there.
Gran Turismo made it's name and sells on it's own merits. Halo does the same, Call of Duty does the same and so does the likes of Gears of War and Metal Gear Solid and that's only a small few of the great gaming franchises that sell on their own merits.
