Call of Duty is one of those franchises that doesn't need a hefty, multi-million advertising campaign.
They just need to do enough to let people know the game exists and when it is coming out. For Call of Duty, word of mouth that there is another COD game coming out is more than enough.
Halo 3 type marketing is not required, hell it wasn't even needed for Halo 3.
You put out a COD game EVERY YEAR and as you get more used to programming on a platform it becomes easier, easier = less time needed which = less money.
There also isn't a lot different in these games every year, the only real difference in the entire series is the online aspect of the game getting better and making the move from WW2 to the original MW setting. I highly doubt they'll be doing a lot in MW2 that is vastly different to MW1 that justifies a hike in price.
Just when you think Turn 10 can't get any worse, they go ahead and prove you wrong.
The lack of class and dignity from this studio is astounding.
That guy from the studio working on Lips was also showing signs of Turn 10 syndrome, not the main guy standing beside the TV, he wasn't bad but the other guy definitely had a bit of Turn 10 about him.
I normally don't care about review scores and sales but I really hope that Gran Turismo 5 absolutely stomps For...
There have been signs up for the 250GB SKU in GAME here in the UK since last week, it's £284.99 in there and you can get it bubdled with up to 3 games for that price on the GAME website.
This isn't really anything new lol.
GT PSP is a great game and the lack of career mode isn't an issue. It's a handheld console not designed for lengthy play sessions involved with having a career mode imo.
It's a pick up and play version of the racing sim we all grew up loving.
Motorstorm is awesome and I'll be picking up the PSP version very soon.
This and Gran Turismo on PSP are enough to keep you occupied for so many hours it's hard to believe they are games for a handheld console.
Yeah that's pretty much how it is.
I'll care more when they actually have something tangible to show us tbh.
Would be relevant if I'd said extra space = better graphics. Didn't though.
I only mentioned space. Maybe I did use a couple of bad examples and some bad wording in there though but my point was simply about space and content.
Why are people saying it's better putting "extra" content on a 2nd disc instead of it being offered as DLC? The content on that disc is what the game was planned to have and is what it was advertised to have according to that retard from Turn 10 at E3.
Now I wouldn't go as far as to say DVD9 is holding the 360 back, well, maybe compared to the PS3 it is but for the most part the 360 is doing just fine. With that said though, it's situations like this that undeniably hig...
Bought the Gran Turismo Edition PSP bundle yesterday....absolutely loving Gran Turismo on PSP and it's reminded me of all the fun I used to have in GT on the PS2. Can't wait for GT5 now.
I sometimes use my PS3's web browser to stream tv shows onto my big TV and using the BBC iPlayer with it is a great convenience so a web browser on a console has some really big advantages.
With that said I wouldn't use it for my main method of surfing the net, it's just so much easier and better on my laptop but that isn't to say there aren't people that don't like doing it on their PS3/Wii or w/e else on their big TV.
Having a browser on the 360 would be a good thi...
Nicely spun, but here's it broken down for you.
If you want to use those services on your 360, you have to stump up some cash.
If they implement a web browser into the 360 then that gold subscription suddenly becomes worth less in terms of value added services.
interesting read cheers
Take your time Yamauchi-San, I'll be busy with GT PSP and a plethora of other games until you have achieved perfection.
You can take more than a bump IRL and still win a race. But yeah there is a point where your car can't perform well enough to win the race but that isn't the only factor. I mean are the other cars damaged? Are the other drivers good enough to beat your damaged car in their damaged car, depending of course on the extent of the damage.
So much factors into it, so much so that saying something like "Fact is if it is really accurate, a bump and the race is over surely." is ...
Is that the final version of the game showing for both platforms?
Both look bad but the 360 version is sooooo much worse than the PC version. MS should have just told the devs to get lost until they made a half decent looking game.
But when I got to the part where Sony would be in trouble if Naughty Dog (A sony owned studio, lol) decided to make games for the 360 then Sony would be in trouble.
I'm not really even sure what he's ranting about in this but the article is garbage.
Apart from some network features that people have been screaming for there isn't really a hell of a lot you can actually criticise Sony and the PS3 for nowadays.
The exclusives are coming thick and fast and a...
Normally I don't really care about phantom disagrees on this site but ffs come on, at least state why you disagree with an actual decent post?
In my opinion the entire franchise is massively hyped and massively overrated.
The main part of COD is the multiplayer, it does a lot of things right but I think there are other games that do it just as well.
I get bored of the yearly rehash of the same game pretty much every year.
